BOWS!!! . just need a little advice please !

Okay so im a lvl 22 rouge and i LOVE the Bow ! its the whole reason im playing the rouge class! now i wanted to ask for some advice on what is a good set of moves for PvE? i know everyone is a little different so i would love to hear any ideas please ^_^ my first idea was Shadow Veil to help my team with its buffs, Aimed shot to take down bosses and Noxious Bolt for big crowds and then ether Shadow Piercer Or combat medic for health? or maybe i should throw in the Razor Shield somewhere ?

I think the best is try different play style before deciding what skill set do you want to take.

For lvling try this spec

Aimed 5/5
Nox 5/5
Pierce 3/5 (3 target and heal)
Medic 4/5 (No heal overtime) or Razor 3/5 (dodge+duration) - I would suggest razor bcoz you get heal from shadow peirce most of time.
Passive - STR INT DEX then DMG CRIT

My skills looked a bit different at that level than they do now on my capped toon. I liked razor because I used the dodge upgrade and it would help keep me from getting killed as easily. When you see me on, ask me to jump on my 21 so I can tell you which skills I'm using. I kill pretty efficiently on it. I have it spec'd for PVE, which looks much different than my PVP spec.

Only rogue can find?
I have a mage and a fighter character (will start rogue soon) but NEVER found bow.

You can get bows on crates or in store. You cant loot them in maps.

Because - according to the video I seen - only legendary gear or better show up.

OR "crate" means copper/silver/golden normal/banded/pirate/war/... chest ? -> I opened some and never found.
Anyway I will open my chests with my new rogue character for test...

Using bow means playing with range or distance.hence your skills selection must be able to utilize and benefit your fighting condition.

For a rogue survivability is higher when you can snipe and using bow to attack.rogues agility enables you to shift stance and movement to escape critical moments in combat (I.e boss critical)

A suggestion from my perspective of ideal build for level cap rogue who uses bow (can be used for both solo and party)

Base statsut all into dex

Skills:
1.aimed shot (maximum)
2.nox bolt (for pve I would mind taking all upgrades.refer to zuzeq guide on setting up a nox box whre this skill is fully utilized)
3.shadow pierce (you may consider health or armour reduction.or none.imo piercing is handy for rogues for movement and escaping critical moment.since you are playing with range you may have time to charge ur sp which rventually hits multiple targets.however rogue with bow should not expose himself in melee range too much.you pierce when necessary)
4.shadow veil (you make take all upgrades excluding explode coz the dmg amount is meh and not worth the skill point.veil is a good skill for both solo and party.my issue with razor as it suited more for a dagger rogue than bow.
6.optional (to swap with veil and more preferably for party runs)-trap.excellend for mobs control as well as offensive even for a rogue qith bow


Passive:max agi dmg critical. Consider might if you need more hp (especially soloing).leave intel as you can use mana pots.

Again this depend on your combat approach.some rogues are expert at sniping and to agile to catch em for an attack.but using bow increases your dmg output on a single target.so the above skills shoudl provide some edge in pve imo.however do note tht there's no proc dmg.but if you can snipe enough and fast its not an issue.at times in elite the strategy esp in party is to focus on killing 1mob at a time rather than being scattered or random.

Do note this is solely my 2cents.nt necessarily the best but this has been the build I used to run elite and its been great so far.my strategy in pve is potting for survivability rather than relying on skills.as to me in tht fast combat pace things can get ugly and by far spamming pots help to keep me alive.hope it helps.

Pierce 3/5 multi and regan

Int max
Rest on defense
I solo tombs and mines a lot. Charge nox charge pierce run and repeat. Have a pet that hits multiple target.
I only use aim for low number of mobs, bosses or anything that shoots that requires killing fast.
Usually stock up about 600+ each on health and mana pots when running elite.

at L21 i would do
aim (5/5)
Shadow Piercer (Get the 3targets and 75% of returning 10% hp)
Nox (5/5)
and then razor shield (5/5)
That should leave you with 2 skill points, id just put them in Intell passive for extra mana

If you want gear, id say Bonchill armor and helm or Devour Armor and helm till lv26+
Once your above 26 use Sealord Will both armor and helm.
Best bow is Devour bow of Potecy, DO NOT GET BRUTALITY FOR ANY BOW!!!!
if you cant get dev bow, get bonchill potency its next step (or shipmaster bow of tatics).
For rings id go with winter star rings
Amulets, Swirling of Potency.

Frequent bow users!

I have seen a rogue who killed boss from GREAT distance with bow.
I mean
Scene: Kraken mines III
At the end when the road divides to the hall of 2 bosses.
Rogue stopped in the middle and kill through the wall those 2 bosses.
Unfortunately he/she dissapeared after no reroll, so I was not able to see how the bow look like.

I used
- Gloomhunter
- Devourer
- Northern
- Sinister longbow
(some seems same but different level and different name).
BUT
the bows targeting distance was same.

Is it possible that mythic bows has further distance?

I found (in the market) only one type of mythic bow (entangled bow of tactics) lvl 31.
Do we have more types?
Do we have Arcana bows as well?

I answer my question in this forum as well.
(As I heard, but I heard from many sides)
All bow has the same firing range.

What I have seen (and I saw very similar few days ago) a LAG.
Few days ago (Kraken mines 3 - again):
- 2 bow user rogues.
- kill bosses one by one (not pull together).
- Just before killing last boss, other rogue's pet came with me (and my pet).
- Mobs started to hit me and other rogue to other hall through walls.
- Other rogue used her/his bow from the other hall through wall killing mobs.

This was obviously a lag somewhere...

As I heard we have only one type of mythic bow and there is no Arcane bow.

Now I am not sure that just before level cap increase I will buy a soon-outdated lvl31 mythic bow (even if I have money - which is not the case now).
Will be there any higher level mythic/Arcane bow?
