Hi everyone,
As you may have heard, we have introduced our new Spacetime Community Manager, Ami! I am really excited to have Ami on board and I know they will be a great new asset for our community.
With Ami coming on, I have shifted my focus to overseeing the Legends Games Franchise. I wanted to take some time and talk a bit about what is going on at Spacetime, take a look back at 2013 and also peer ahead to see what's cooking for 2014.
Hangout with us!
If you want to chat more, or have some questions, I invite you to join us for our Community Hangout on Thursday, Jan 23rd. Click here to read the details of the Hangout. Myself, our new Community Manager Ami and our Community Moderator Delphina will be there to talk about Spacetime and the Spacetime Community. We're looking forward to hanging out with you!
2013
2013 was a very busy year for Spacetime. Not only did we launch a new franchise with the Battle Games (Battle Dragons and Battle Command!) but we also updated our games over 280 times! That is a lot! Arcane Legends lived up to what we call it: the culmination of the Legends Franchise. It is also a testament to Arcane Legends, that was named Massively's Best Mobile MMO for both 2012 AND 2013!
Arcane Legends is our biggest hit. It is the game where a lot of our fans spend their playing time, so it rightfully had a goodly amount of additions, including: 3 level cap raises, Capture the Flag and Deathmatch PvP, a new place to fight bosses in the Gladiator Arena, the addition of the powerful Mythic and Arcane rarity pets and items and also an entire new Crafting System. We also took players to the far reaches of the galaxy with the level cap raise for Star Legends and expanded Dark Legends with a level cap raise. We also included many seasonal events for all games. If you're a Pocket Legends fan, I invite you to read an earlier post of mine explaining why we didn’t raise the level cap for Pocket Legends in 2013. As I said, it was a very busy year for Spacetime! This is especially true when you consider we number less than 40 people.
If you aren't familiar with Spacetime’s history and are interested to know more about us, I invite you to check out this video done by local Austin TV station KLRU about Spacetime http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vePaOAey2AA. The coming game mentioned at the end of the video is Arcane Legends, as the video came out in late 2012.
2014
We are already off to a busy start with the announcement of the next expansion to Arcane Legends, Dragon Enclave! We are also working on rebalancing how we do itemization in Arcane Legends. You can read more about that here. We also have our first round of events lined up for all games with the ever popular Double XP weekend coming for Pocket Legends, Star Legends and Dark Legends for January 17 to 20. Arcane Legends will have a double crafting critical success weekend over Jan 17-20, as we're saving Double XP to run closer to when the expansion will launch in late February.
While I don't want overstep my authority as the Legends Producer, I can say that Spacetime Games continues to work on new ways to surprise and delight gamers around the world. Expect some new things from us in 2014.
I want to close with a shout-out to all of our fans. We know that without you, Spacetime Games players, we wouldn't be anything. Thanks for making our virtual worlds come alive and for playing our games! Here is to a great 2014!
