Ya, my thumbs are too big for my iPhone. Also, as a college student... I carry my laptop pretty much anywhere.

I also hate using my iPad to play because it's not very ergonomic, so I end up getting cramped up. The majority of the time, people are sitting at home and playing, so I'd just rather play with a device that I'm most comfortable with.

PL wasn't as Chrome friendly so I didn't use it much there, but AL was made from Chrome.

I think the pc controls are terribad, i don't understand how anyone could get anything done on pc, but if you can, power to you! Yea I hear ipad is also not very comfortable to play on.All I know is can't run elites on anything but my galaxy, so color me impressed that you're a pc gamer.

AL used to be in N. California, but we moved it to N. Virginia in Feb 2013. AWS is more expensive in N. California, and the AWS operations in N. Virginia is bigger, so we felt the reliability/support would be better in N. Virginia.

Either way, the ping is still pretty good and I haven't really noticed a difference (except during the initial days of AL). I would get an unbelievable 30 ping!

maybe u have a port blocked in ur connection u can't have 0 ping even if the server is hosted in ur pc u get 20-10 ping..

and not is the best connection speedtest all the time test the ping with ur same country and obviusly u are going to get low ping. if u join to another country server u are going to get more ping.

is like a argentina people join to usa server get 200-300 ping or a USA people join to Brazilian server u are going to get 200-300 ping.

Nope, I can download a movie in seconds. That connection speed is very real.

IMO, PC controls are awesome if you know how to use a keyboard efficiently. Arrow keys for movement, numerical pad for skills and mouse for inventory (which is the worst part). Everything else is pretty manageable, especially if your laptop comes with a great trackpad.

We recently switched PL/SL/DL/AL over to the new C3 EC2 instance type for better performance. Hopefully, you will notice the difference in-game, over the previous C1 that we were using.

Lol, I know the feel. Once i made the switch from iphone to android there is just no way i could go back. iphone is just too small, period.

Pc controls for the rouge class aren't so bad cause you can get away with tapping skills from afar, but I can tell you from experience that as a mage your game must be tight to play on a pc, there is just no room for error with our HP and armor, the other two classes have a little more survival room for pc gaming.

Yup, PL/SL/DL/AL maintenance a week or two back was to switch out the C1's for C3's.

The SSD's and more memory makes all the difference for workloads! Sounds like those platinum sales are going somewhere right! Thanks for the update H2N... I've really been curious about the infrastructure and OS + design AL runs on.

If you're running speedtest, pick Ashburn, VA, as I'm pretty sure that's where the AWS N. Virginia datacenter is located.

No wonder connection rocks in central md(usually) its very densely populated in lots of places in the midatlantic, lots of people using the internet in one place
