They will add more versions of the magma sets. And, dont even forget about staggering item, lol. The expansion may even last 10 months, so why are the people asking for the best gear right from the start? ...
Guys, this has been well thought out and if you don't understand, then you are not listening.
There is an achievement for crafting the mythic armor and helm. Because of this achievement, they cannot discontinue the level 26 mythic helms or level 31 mythic armors, or else new players would have no way to get that achievement. So they must continue to allow these items to drop from locked crates.
If they allow you to sell your level 36 upgraded mythic set, then tons of these sets will suddenly be for sale. Remember that 75%+ of the players base is end game, and those players will no longer have any need for this set. Of the other 25% of the player base, very few are level 36, and it will be some time before level 36 becomes a popular PvP twink level. Therefore, with all those sets for sale and nobody who needs them, the price will drop way down. We have all seen it happen when tons of an item are suddenly for sale and nobody needs them. Just look at the mythic guns. 2 weeks ago they were selling for 3-4m, today they are 1.8m, and by next week they will be 1m probably. And those are a discontinued item. The mythic helm and armors just keep dropping forever, so their supply keeps increasing as people continue to open locked crates, and the price will continue to drop.
So imagine how you will feel when you open a locked crate 2 months from now, and you finally got lucky enough to loot a mythic item, but it is a level 26 mythic helm which is now worth 50k because there are 37 of them for sale in the auction.
These are better left untradable. The last campaign before mythic were released was Dead City, and the best armors and helms in that campaign were Demonlord. During that campaign, the best demonlord armors and helms were selling for 1-2m. A week after Kraken was released, those same armors and helms were going for 50k and there were dozens of them for sale in the auction. Now of course the price has rebounded as the player base has grown, many players holding these items have quit and thus removed these items from circulation, and now those lower levels are popular twink levels and the items are scarce compared to the now large player base. But the player base only continues to grow at such a great rate for so long. And again those items are discontinued, unlike the mythic armors and helms.
It's best these are left the way they are.
actually ... i recently found out the achievement is for HAVING the armor and helm, not UPGRADING the armor and helm..... maybe its a bug ....
Imagine 1000 sets were listed all the time in cs, and noone needs it anymore because its stats are obsolete, how much would it go for? Why would people buy the unupgraded sets when they can easily buy the upgraded ones with lower price? Both will go straight down. People just want to make some little money pocket, LOL.
Plus I mean, the game moves on. How can you expect to keep reusing same stuff for so long? Isn't that a snooze? What would be the point of playing the game if you never had new gear to look forward to? I think they were so generous make it last so long and allow many people to obtain the set and Aps. I've never seen another game do this. Usually new maps, all new gear and yours immediately isn't the best anymore and you gotta work for it.
