    bro is it possible that that 1k doesn't even exist because the money you own to your friends now are 98k plus the 1k so where you find that 1k more? Unless you mean 1k in real life

    Exact I have explained a couple of page ago where the trick is!

    You can't multiplicate money if you aren't the central bank

    You have 2 friends and you gave them back 1k each. So the 1k left is on ur wallet

    What the heck is the question here? I have read it several times and yet I don't understand what you want to know. Where the 1k is? There is no missing money here. What has happened is as follows :

    Money borrowed :
    Person 1 = +50k
    Person 2 = +50k
    Total = +100k

    Money Owing
    Repay Person 1 - 1k(total remaining -49k)
    Repay Person 1 - 1k(total remaining -49k)
    Total Repaid = -2k
    Total Owing = -98k

    Total Debt = -2k + -98k = -100k

    It all adds up. Another way to look at it is as follows :

    Money borrowed :
    Person 1 = +50k
    Person 2 = +50k
    Total = +100k

    Money Owing
    Repay Person 1 - 1k(total remaining -49k)
    Repay Person 1 - 1k(total remaining -49k)
    Total Owing = -98k

    Total Debt = 1k(in pocket) + 97k(Arlor) -98k(owing) = 0

    It all adds up. There is a flaw in the way the question is worded. Its misleading. There is no 1k.

    U bought the vanity 97k and asked credit worth of 100k.
    100k-97k=3k
    U give back 1k and having 49k credit each and 1k left.
    49k+49k=98 (still credit left)

    Ps. You cant add ur 1k left in ur pocket against the credit.

    Correct formulas:

    Credit+credit=credit
    Paid+paid=paid
    Balanced+balanced=balanced

    you cant mix the formula!

Then you decided to return the 1k to me and another 1k to your other friend, so you still owe me and your friend 49k each... How much gold left on you? 1k ryt? 49k + 49k + 1k (on you pocket)=99k. Where is the 1k???? The one that can answer will receive a jester vanity set! :-) sorry Im poor
    To borrow You?... Makes no sense, it is like i gave You 50k and got 50k from friend. To borrow from you if so... idk..

    I think the real question is who sold the Red Arlor for 97k?

    Mrmalibog, the problem with your questions is you add two negatives and a positive like they are all positives. Its really -49k + -49k + 1k = -97k. The exact price you paid for the Arlor and what is still owing. Why are the amount owing listed as positives? The question is flawed and makes no sense. Are you actually expecting an answer from someone.

    My answer is TROLL!!

    The answer is : Why should I owe you and other friend 49k gold ? Because the ARLOR price is 97k , 48.50 + 48.50 = 97k , so the 3k gold left given to each of you . 3k divide by 2 is 1.5k gold . Sooooo , I dont have any gold to buy that ARLOR . I owe from both of you . Why should I take the 1k gold ?

    OMG *rolls eyes*

    100k = 97k item + 3k = (49k owed *2) + (1k paid *2)

    You already had the right answer, but some brains will never understand it. Make some piles on a desk to see where the word problem has lied to you.
