It's a matter of how you play. If you find yourself dying a lot in elite Tindirin, then Magma would be better because it has significantly higher armor. But, if you are successful in Mythics, then the superior DMG from that gear would be better for you.

To be honest, I only think the Magma helm/armor is viable for Warriors - the loss of DMG (and other stats) is too severe to be serviceable for the majority of players that are comfortable running elites all day.

Mythic for pvp and pve although some do prefer magma it depends really and which you can afford.

P.s don't try and pvp with magma it will make you hate pvp lol
