I have a question for the game developers regarding locked grand crates. what is the numerical probability of obtaining a mythic item by opening one locked crate?
I have a question for the game developers regarding locked grand crates. what is the numerical probability of obtaining a mythic item by opening one locked crate?
it is kept secret
0.000000001 % for arcane and double for mythic , means 0.00000002% for mythic.
In 2x weekend, its 2x= 0.00000004% Chance

I've spoken to players who have opened lots of crates, and my understanding is on average you need to open around 100-200 crates for a mythic, and around 500-1000 for an arcane. So double odds would mean 50-100 crates to get a mythic. But that is an average. For ever guy who opens 5 crates and loots a mythic, there is someone like me who has opened over 300 and gotten nothing.
130 elo for elondrian bow, elondrian rifle, shuyal, blood and samael, not to mention around 500plat that i got back.
There's no point in posting "I looted this or that from this many" unless you average over 2000+ crates.
Simple math.
Disclaimer: my lameness is figurative but strong
I opened jus 6 elo locks with my free plat got a elodrian bow.
It's jus luck that's what matters not the percentage.

<------- gave up on locked crates long time ago.
I think its Random. There can be a Mythic item in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd....nth Elondrian crates. Nobody can guess the next drop and thats the excitement one can get from these Crates.
Opened 156 exact and got nothing. Poor elondrian crates

Thanks everyone for your comments. I'm really hoping to hear from spacetime on this. I ask because I would think that they would want to be fully transparent with their best paying customers, which I assume are the people who open crates. It doesnt seem to me to be that provocative a question. For example every lottery that I am aware of publishes the odds of winning even though the odds are infinitesimally small. People still play the lottery like crazy, so I don't see why disclosure would an issue...
I think you need to think of it like a lottery. Every few months I open some crates. I don't open so many that I will rage if I don't get anything good. I also don't spend any of my gold on crates. I just keep the crates that I farm, and those are the ones I open. In this event, I just used the crates I had farmed over the previous few months to craft the new crates and opened some of the ones I crafted and sold some also. I figure I'm going to support STS anyway, so when there are months that I don't find anything else suitable to spend some plat on (like a mythic pet or vanity item), then I open some crates.
I'd say the average 100-200 for a mythic item is pretty correct. I opened 500 so far and had exactly two mythic items, so I'm a bit on the downside of this equation.

It is mainly luck... As people have said they have opened 100's and got nothing I've been playing for around 1 year and would have only opened close to 50 locked crates and the other day I got a amulet of doom.
Not sure if that's a good loot or not coz most people are talking about weapons/armour.

4 days ago i opened 20 elondrian crates and 68 normal crates and on the 88th normal crate a samael popped out.
Why would anyone want to spend real money on the game when the odds are so bad? The real winners are the players who don't spend anything and watch as players spend real $ in order to have a false sense of accomplishment.
Where can a person spend $1,000 on a game and still get nothing? Only in this game lmao!
Yes, its gambling but man if that's the case, I'd rather buy a lotto ticket and get millions then a pixel on my screen just so I can feel great in my fantasy virtual world/life lolol.
This game isn't even solo-based, its team-based so unless you can be take on 4 geared players all by yourself then forget trying to even loot that pixel.
Like someone said, this company is out to grab as much money as they can from gullible players with deep or no so deep pockets.
