    It's a damage buff you only see in your stats after you equip it.

    The First Gem applies 7 DMG. Then the next gem applies 2 DMG.
    It also adds a glowing light/particle effect under your feet

    You take the DMG added (5.0 for first para gem + 2.0 for additional gems including the first gem) * (Bonus DMG stat in Decimal Form)

    So, lets say I had 3 para gems and 400% bonus DMG:

    (5.0 + (2.0 x 3)) x (4) = 44 DMG

    Also, keep in mind that if you're fully gemmed and decide to swap a gem for a para you're lowering your main stat (STR, INT, DEX) in which your bonus damage % is based on and essentially the usefulness of each extra para equipped. Unfortunately, the trade off was not calculated very well before the gem's release and that's why you see the 1%'s gear fully loaded with paragems.

    Yes, I should have added that.

    The HP loss and crit loss is made up with eye gems which is why you can stack 10-11 para gems!

    Here's in an equation form. Sorry for the copy by Zeus

    EQUATION:

    (5.0 + (2.0* number of paracelsus soulstone gems) + XBonus dmg)

    Underline note:

    Remember to just put the first unit of the bonus DMG

    SO if you have 400% DMG bonus, just replace the X value with 4.

    Everyone is posting equations LOL, heres mine

    P = Number of Paracelsus Soulstone gems
    D = Dexterity
    DMG = Your estimated damage gained

    DMG = (5 + 2*P) * (0.5*D)

    All para gems gives 2.0 damage but the first one will have an additional of 5.0 damage, so your correct on your statement --> The First Gem applies 7 DMG. Then the next gem applies 2 DMG.
