Samael is horrible for pve. Toor is weak when capped and Maridos is better than Singe for Mage. U get even a bit more hp from Mari, crit, a stronger buff and he is much cheaper.
If u have the gold then craft Nekro, his shield is amazing for Mage and he boosts ur damage by a lot.
It depends on ur budget a bit, Nekro around 6m if u craft him 7m+ when u buy and Maridos u can get for 2.2m+.
I highly recommend u Nekro if u can afford it though.
Concur with lastmind, nekro if you can afford it, however with the new buff for toor it's become a valuable pet when maxed at endgame level.
there is not buff for the toor
