Four months ago money spent was disproportionately rewarded (I guess you can call it hard work outside of the game) and hard work in game wasn't worth it. A lot of hardcore farmers were ready to quit. The tables have turned - perhaps too dramatically. I think we are all tired of rehashing this discussion but both sides need to be heard. And it's not just two sides. A lot of hardcore farmers like me do buy plat. We just like to have to earn things the old fashioned way. If the game becomes too much of a pay to win, we leave.
Even those who don't buy plat do support the game by being part of the player base. I know I sure appreciate having lots of players to sell to or run maps with. They aren't leeches. They are part of the community.
What safety net? There's no savings and if living on social security is our goal we are in serious trouble game or IRL... When there's no reason to have anything to strive for nothing to work for anymore and all the dollars like our current gold situation in the game dries up it causes war, famine, disease plus strife and there isn't anymore people to tax left... That's not what I want. I want vibrant economy where everyone has a purpose job and is happy to pull their own weight for themselves and their friends / family. Who wants to be just one of the drones? It's like voluntarily wanting to be BORG. I'll stick with the resistance and as long as there is freedom somewhere it'll never be futile!

Yeah hey I run hard and I am here to perfect my toon and be an elite machine. That's the main thing. I do feel red items should be exclusive earned just like most of us do. Not redic money or luck to the point of frustration. Just you know, fun. Something we can all strive for and obtain and not by using nefarious methods.
We truly are in the same side, the stupid posts of arcane being crap now are beyond boring. Move on. Give us new stuff sts. We ready to rawr elites!!!
Yup. People who put up the time and or cash in game should be the sharks!!!!
It will be interesting to see how the new elites pan out. The newly geared may think they ready, but sts has a way of stomping down on you with new elite content.
Point in case. Me and Zeus and Leo hit pt 3 first time together the day it was released. No less than 200 death at the boss the first run. We ain't rookies here. The men will be divided from the kids quickly.
Lol it'll be sight to see... What do mean my insta level 41, nekro, and arcane ring doesn't mean I win? lololol!

Also why even have multi player if everyone has the same everything? At that point it might as well be you playing by yourself against the computer with ur scores uploaded to some top 10 list. Kinda like the high scores on a pinball machine I mean for real! Oh boy I'm number one double g the exact same thing as everyone else... OK it's ok but it's like atari 2600 gaming... The tanks all look the same.

For example I have run dailies xxx times and bought xxx orc crates. Zero runes.
I met someone in game that bought a single orc crate and looted a rune.
/facepalm
That kind of reward really burns the dedicated players eventually.
Also free stuff being better than stuff u pay for... What kinda business logic is that? It's like giving everyone a new galaxy s6 then asking people to pay for a flip phone...???
Actually it's worse not only pay for the flip phone but also pay for 10 of the gs6 others get for free.

I better not respond to that lol... I'll get in trouble again...
For one thing anyone that knows me knows that's not at all what I meant.
No assumptions here... Also there used to be more than a few.
If u think this is gonna give AL another best mmorpg again I think ya need to check again.
It's really easy to be idealistic when you've got next to nothing. Also you don't get successful by giving everything away either.
Anyhow have a nice day!

Let's see, where to begin...
What is this argument really about? That arcane items should return to their previous price point? 20 -100 million for an arcane ring? That plat users should be the Dramatic Supreme Overlords of Arlor as they once were? Perhaps the argument is that there should be a very clear delineation between Ridiculously Super Rich Players Who Deserve Near-Constant Adulation and the lower and middle class players who should be worshiping them as before? Those unworthy peasants shouldn't have arcane items! DON'T WE HAVE STANDARDS ANYMORE? SHEESH, I'M TELLING YA.
I'm thankful STS is in control of their game and not some of the self-serving overly-wealthy players. However, let me be clear - many wealthy players have their heads screwed on straight and aren't freaking out that middle class players can suddenly afford pretty rings and undead dragon whelps. (Let's all panic about that for some reason! Um... no.)
Someone ought to google the term "concern troll." That's exactly what's going on here, imho.
What a lot of long-term players are failing to understand is this: The old model you remember and yearn for so very fondly was, frankly, unsustainable. That means if STS returned Arcane Legends to the world it was before it wouldn't be long before they'd go out of business. Also, if any of you concern trolls paid any attention to the mobile app industry, you'd know what happened with the Ren'gol expansion is an industry-wide trend and wasn't invented by STS just to foil your plans.
So, you're angry and upset and beside yourself that Arcane items are way more affordable... why? WHY? WHY?!?
Please do tell. Rapt attention and all that.
