Soon you will be able to own a house in Arlor!
Buying a House
- House Vendors in Windmoore, Travelers' Outpost and Glintstone will hook you up.
- Let the House Vendor take you on a tour of each property so you can find the right one for you.
- Houses on the tour will have example furniture to give you an idea of the decorative possibilities.
- There will be four initial houses available:
Decorating
- Each housing floorplan has a furnishing limit; the bigger the house, the larger the limit.
- Once you own a house, you can place furniture and decorations that you buy (or loot)!
- Many items can be purchased for game currencies of various types, others for Platinum.
- Some basic house items drop in Normal Dungeons (tavern items, books, bowls, candles, plates, vases, tables) while cooler unique drops (pillows, paintings, fountains, stills, decorative pets) come from Elites.
- You can buy additional furniture placement space. These extra spaces stay with your character if you change houses.
- Once you place an item, you can customize its location, height, and rotation.
- You and your friends can interact with some items (lie in beds, sit in chairs, turn on or off fireplaces, etc.). These are depicted by a small hand icon in the Place menu.
Upkeep
- Houses require weekly upkeep. This upkeep is paid using a new currency: Estate Tokens.
- Purchase Estate Tokens from the Estate Token vendors in Windmoore, Travelers' Outpost and Glintstone.
- Estate Tokens can be paid for with Story Tokens or with Platinum. There is also a new weekly Estate Token quest.
- Estate Token Kits purchased with Platinum are tradable.
- Small houses only require a few Estate Tokens for upkeep; large houses require more.
- If you run out of tokens your house is unavailable until you can pay the upkeep, but there are no back-taxes (you just need to pay the current week's upkeep).
Social
- Your friends can visit your house and you can visit theirs at any time.
- You can also set your house to Private if you'd prefer to keep all your coolness to yourself.
- Friends can use your house items (like chairs, dartboards, exercise mats) while you are with them.
- Certain special items (like your personal Stash Chest) are only ever available to you.
We'll leave you with the previously posted sneak peek to hilight some of the unique things you can do in your house:
