Level 55 Mage

What weapon would you go for a pure int level 55 mage? I mean if you don't consider the price constraint. I am level 53 now and started thinking collecting enough funds to buy some pinks that will be useful once i turn to level 55-56.

Go with the full mega mage set. So the gemstone cowl, robes and staff. Def the way to go if pure int.

If you want armor MM wand and bracer if you want damage use the gemstone staff or sewer queen set while they are still cheap.

I use a MM Gemstone wand set as well. It works amazing! Great armor and essentially unlimited M/S.

The staff hits hard as well, and adds a ton to your spell damage. But you lose some armor.

MM Wand Set is the best among the BS pink sets, IMO.

Agreed what is said above.. MM ftw!

An option to consider could be fury on a Mage. Spell damage suffers with about 80 dmg points if I remember correctly (this is if you do a 173str respec when fury equipped, else you will loose about 100 points). It's a nice alternative IMO. You become like a little tank (without the buffs and debuffs that make a bear better suited for this), while still being able to deal a fair amount of dmg. It's just what you prefer really...
