Tried that outside thing....scary out there

May have to break down and gasp turn on the 360 and refresh the app every 2 minutes instead of 30 seconds

From reading the reports from the website provided and my personal understanding of EBS volumes and API errors, i have a rough estimation that the server will be recovered in 5 hours away from the time of my post now. My prediction may not be accurate but just a rough estimation. So try away maybe like 4 hours - 6 hours later.

could it be something to do with this? i have never seen this happen before....

All other Availability Zones are operating normally. Customers with snapshots of their affected volumes can re-launch their volumes and instances in another zone. We recommend customers do not target a specific Availability Zone when launching instances. We have updated our service to avoid placing any instances in the impaired zone for untargeted requests.
