    Question End Game - Level 66 Build

    I will finally hit the level cap today/tomorrow (10k to go) and was wondering what builds people are running. I'm currently running:

    • Fire (5/5)
    • Lightning (4/5 no shock)
    • Clock (5/5)
    • Shield (4/5 no displacement wave)


    The standard passives (no damage and no quickness). For masteries I have lightning and shield 10/10 and the rest in fireball.

    Looking for suggestions and constructive criticism. Thanks!

    Fire, ice, clock, shield .

    I play more pve in m6. So, use ice instead of lightning.

    I recently changed because I started doing elites.

    I don't have m5 unlocked yet... is it pretty standard to use ice there?

    Depending on what elites you are running I find clock very helpful. Shield up, drop clock, fireball, lightning and spam auto-attack with the flame staff. Rinse and repeat.

    Time more useful for me than ice. Time shift (5/5) or exclude time bomb (4/5) + glowstik u can kill mobs in mass

    Lightning is not multi-attaching enough, not preferred in m6.

    Gale/wind is problematic for m6. Although push mobs away might be safe for yourself, it significantly extend the team's time of killing becaus proc, such as hex fire, works better on packed mobs.
    I v seen skillful mage using gale/wind from side edge to nicely group mobs. But it is very hard to control and therefore so rare.

    An easy and efficient combo of mage skills would be clock (max chance of root), ice (dare to close-up multi freeze), fire (max number knockdown), and shield.

    Overall, with good grouping skills (swift, trap, or the new pulling weap) to pack and proc in m6, it could save you up to 5 minutes in m6. It will take you 20+ minutes instead of 15 minutes if you keep breaking the pack with gale/wind.

    Thank u. Remember to walk closeup and use non-charged ice against aiming snipers. Save you and team' life.

    I'm liking the fireball, ice, clock, shield setup. As Obooo said, ice has saved me and others several times. Thanks for the tips!

    Fire,ice,clock,heal is the best for any map.
    Switch ice with gale if you are getting a lot of debuffs.

    fire,ice,time shift and shield for mobs
    fire,ice,gale and shield for boss

    it's pretty hard to master gale and always blow away the mobs

    btw, frost bolt is a bit underrated currently. if you get close to 4+ mobs under invulnerability of shield and unleash chargedfrost bolt, mobs can be frozen. frost bolt actually can do a good job on crowd control.
