If you’re referring to vanity/item such as Squids, Dev, Black/Gold/Silver Tacs, the difference is the ability to actually have a chance of dropping it. With the 5-10 only available in the game, that puts a limit on how many there are in the game. I would much rather the vanity/item to have the lowest % possible to drop, than to put a limit on how many drops.
Now this ideal I could agree upon if it was a solo event that required you to race to the top of the leaderboard to claim a rare prize; as Arcane Legends events are.
