Ebon staff or skratch gun

Should i buy a ebon gun or skratch gun I'm lvl 76 and doing not so much damage and which proc is better

I know i prefer staff too but I'm lvl 76 with no good weapon (using a legendary atm) and i need to start somewhere because if i buy a skratch gun my damage go by 500 up and dps 200 but if i buy ebon it goes 500 up and 800 dps up.

guns generally have lower dps than staffs, same with bow and daggs, axe and aegis.

Scratch gun is far better than ebon staff, good for mobs better damage and stats
