+1 bigger great swords

A different resting stance for the weapon could also help with the problem of the small swords, maybe it could be resting on the hip instead?
Also maybe a style like the one shown in the first picture you posted could work.

Besides most stuff clips through the armor's shoulders in most cases looking very bad imo, needs a change.
