The ability to use your Pocket Legends Platinum in Star Legends was a temporary bonus while Star Legends was in Beta. This way, anyone who wanted to buy items from the store didn't have to make a specific trip to buy Platinum. However, going forward with the global launch of Star Legends and to comply with all Apple and Android storefronts, Platinum will be game specific going forward.

Pocket Legends Platinum is usable in Pocket Legends only. Star Legends Platinum is usable in Star Legends only. Some storefronts allow shared currency and others do not, so we needed to ensure there would be a fair policy.
