I think it should be a period of 30 seconds.
30seconds is a bit low, may i suggest. 2.5minutes
Would this include people attempting to sell or buy things? This could be quite an inconvenience. (Not that I don't hate spammers, but this should be dealt with in a different way.)
Well spamming by buying and selling items is same : Spam is a Spam and it shud get punished...
I don't think anyone wants PL to be a silent world, but just as many times as people spam buying/selling/trading offers there are as many instances of people saying something over and over again that no one wants to hear and it pollutes the chat box :/

I like the idea but the exact details need to be thrashed out...
Maybe repeating the same thing 3 times in a 30 second period? I don't know but it would be nice for it to be reduced... It's not needed at all.

I like that but it shouldnt be a 5 minute mute. sometimes I forget when I last said im seling something because im surfing CS and ill say it rather fast.

So it's okay if you "accidentally" spam? How is the game supposed to know that? Spamming is spamming, regardless of reason. Maybe a mute will make you pay more attention to how often you post a message

I've been thinking about making a suggestion to prohibit buying from, selling to, and trading with people who have you on their ignore lists. Spammers (and flatulators?) who annoy enough people to the point of getting ignored would then find it increasingly hard to buy, sell, and trade anything.
Lets get thid clear :They get Muted for 1minute if spammed.... OK?
Haha I like this idea, I saw someone post the same message for 15 minutes in balefort the other day AND they were selling trash too lol I think timings need to be tested out, but its a good idea to improve the game if its done correctly that is
