Bug in Elite Onyx quest, can not open the portal

I was informed yesterday on discord by a friend that there is a bug in attempting to complete the Elite Onyx quest in Black Smoke Mountain campaign (Level 76)

The quest is : A New Age



She completed all the other quests in the campaign and has 21/22 quests complete.




She killed the Red Dragon Slayer boss 76 times and was awarded the vanity Shadow Minion Disguise

She even crafted this vanity in Forest Haven into a vanity version




But when she and I have attempted to enter map 4 of Black Smoke Mountain campaign - Red Dragon's Lair and have entered the portal where the Emma boss is, then down the hole to the next portal. Wearing the Shadow Minion Disguise usually would allow you to enter the next portal to the map where Elite Onyx is.

However, the portal and the Shadow Minion Disguise does not allow you to enter the map


My friend would like to complete this quest and can not.

Can this bug please be fixed?

Heard from them through support (assuming it's the same person), but they had already completed the quest when I went to look, so not sure if there's really anything wrong or not.

My friend tried it 40 times before the map would unlock for her , it is really peculiar considering it should allow her to enter the map the first time, and others too who wish to farm the elite onyx boss.

I can't explain it. Why it works now for her after 40 attempts.

However will will check again and will let you know my results.

The portal was attempted with the Crafted Level 1
Shadow Minion disguise and does not work

However you can enter the portal to Elite Onyx with the level 76 Shadow Minion Disguise

So far unable to reproduce this issue. I was able to see and enter the portal with both the level 76 and level 1 disguises.

I'm sorry but the level 1 vanity Shadow minion disguise does not allow you to enter the 2nd portal in the Red Deagon Lair map.

It has been attempted on characters that have the New Age quest completed and those that have not completed the quest complete.

The crafted Level 1 Shadow Minon vanity does not give you access to The elite onyx boss in Black Smoke Mountain , I stand on top of the portal and no effect with the vanity equipped.

Here's a video of one of bird characters who have not completed the New Age quest.

In the Red Dragon Lair map.

At the second portal down the hole , wearing the level 1 Shadow Minion disguise vanity.

I cleared all the crystals around the hole where the Emma mini boss was, entered the first portal.

Went down the hole. Cleared all the crystsls , wore the vanity and it did not allow me into the portal to the Elite Onyx boss.

I took off the vanity and put it back on and still it did not allow me to enter the portal

Interesting, it's not even showing on the map. I do see one odd requirement for it to show up, will investigate further.

It looks like someone has to be in costume when going down the hole, and have walked to it before using, or the portal doesn't show up.

It always worked for me since I walked to it.
I'll fix it to work even if you don't walk close enough to the hole.

Fixed for the next update. In the meantime, just walk to the hole (while in costume) before using it.
