Greetings,
This is a clarification regarding Aurora and our Price Check System. We created it as a guide and we do not force anyone to follow them. We listen to players concerns in regards to this and our response is: Aurora was created for all players who doesn't know the prices in-game. This means all prices being sent there were gathered and came from in-game players. However this doesn't mean Aurora will follow or follows anyone in particular. Aurora were created to be unbiased including not be manipulated by merch prices or expensive personal offers.
Prices generated from Aurora are within normal price range. These are the prices considered fair and just and updated with the current prices.
Updated Price Check FAQs:
1. Why Aurora do not follow personal offers?
Because this is the root of price manipulation. And Aurora purpose is to help and prevent players from getting scammed.
2. What is personal offers?
Personal offers are the offers you made without or by disregarding the current price range. This is the price you willing to pay beyond or not beyond the current price range.
3. Why players sell different prices?
Because some players especially players who's into merching, they do not follow the current price, they sell depends on your offer and how much you willing to pay.
4. What is price manipulation?
Price manipulation is being done over the years. These are the offers personally made by player's, some are innocent offers meaning they don't have any intention in manipulating the prices, and for some that's the goal for it.
For example an item cost 1b only and multiple players paying the same price and considering the item is available which comes back each year but another player goes beyond the normal price range and paid 5b merrily, and claiming it is now the current price. In return to get back the items or gold they offered they will now manipulate the pricing.
REMARK:
To close this, we believe there is no right or wrong prices, Aurora is here to guide, not to spread prices that came from personal offers as this is your own personal offers and not everyone's else. Meaning you can offer anything you want but that doesn't change the fact that that's your offer alone, you went beyond the normal price range and that's the price you willing to pay.
For many years, personal offers is being used to manipulate prices, to increase them. We aim to help not to join the band of misleading the players.
