The Great North Arlorian Eclipse



In ages past, a celestial phenomenon shrouded the skies of Northern Arlor in shadow. This occurrence, known as the 'total eclipse,' cast fear and confusion across the land. Yet, mercifully, its grip upon the world was fleeting, and as the eclipse waned, so too did the unrest that gripped the hearts of the people.

In the hallowed halls of the Temple of Scrolls, learned scholars turned their gaze heavenward, seeking answers amidst the stars. With relentless determination, they embarked upon the meticulous task of charting the celestial dance, laboring tirelessly to decipher the movements of the heavenly spheres. As their knowledge deepened and their calculations grew ever more precise, they discerned a revelation: the Great Northern Arlor Eclipse would soon return.

In a bid to quell the rising tide of fear and uncertainty, the scholars dispatched one of their brightest pupils, a novice Shardgazer named Celeste, bearing gifts of 'eclipse glasses' and banners of celebration. Armed with knowledge gleaned from the ancient tomes, Celeste endeavored to enlighten the populace, assuring them of the benign nature of the impending eclipse.

Yet, amidst the preparations for the event, the scholars harbored another motive. They charged Celeste with a task of utmost importance: to capture the elusive essence of "Darklight," a phenomenon said to manifest only within the shadowed embrace of a total eclipse. In their pursuit of understanding, the scholars sought to unravel the mysteries that shrouded the Elder Woods and to glean insight into the ominous portents of the War Foretold.

Event Features

To celebrate the upcoming total eclipse occuring April 8, 2024 (link), this event runs for 3 days starting Apr. 6 17:00 UTC to Apr. 9 17:00 UTC.

Visit Celeste in Windmoore for a bit of Arlorian lore and receive your free Total Eclipse Glasses.

Wearing the glasses, bosses in Arlor within 5 levels of your character level have chance to drop:

+ The Total Eclipse Banner (above)

Wearing the glasses AND the banner, bosses in Arlor within 5 levels of your character level have chance to drop:

+ The Total Eclipse Badge



+ The Total Eclipse Title

I'm also loving what you did on skill revamping. some are hating it but soon they'll realize that you did a great job cuz this will also affect the future level caps since we might be running out of choices on where to put our skill points. All good, all good. Also, i hope that the origami inspired vanity theme that you posted before is for last valley protectorate event

Love mini-events as well as reading stories related to them. Whether eclipse is related to Dune or not, i would like to mention, that movie about xenomorphs is coming out in August. Would love to have mini-event related to this, with perhaps aura of their acid blood. :}

Title & badges are nice , but would make too much sense if u could add a real floating total-eclipse banner rather than that super simple banner similar the badge design somewhere in the event

Sorry, no plans to do this for this event. I can look into this for future events, but for now, the gauntlet bosses are not compatible with 'from bosses' mini-events.

Sorry, Celeste says she want to be the only one in Arlor with this dress.

Is it possible for you to inverse the color of the maps that drop the titles and badges, just like you do with Eggzavier portals.

I would like to add +1 to this but based on their responses in this thread most of the answers are no/sorry no plans to do this. Kinda sad cuz an event like this happens rarely even in real life. Would be cool if we'll have a nice vanity banner or aura to commemorate it

Ye, I see why they would say no for auras and other stuff , but we barely get any great looking banners , I think it’s a good once in a long time opportunity , an eclipse banner similar to the badge would just make perfect sense imo.
