Exclamation Someone Deleted Loads of Players

Well, a player named Arcadia just joined our guild. He asked the head of the Guild if all those under level 51 could be deleted, but she said no, as that is not what the guild is for. So he went and deleted about 20 of our members and then left!
So how do you report something like that?

    Email support about it.

It is called griefing and it is considered bannable.

Yes, this is A VERY serious offence. It is called "griefing" and the devs are perma banning for this. As of now, send an email to support(@)spacetimestudios.com telling them what happened.

This would be why you dont make people officers right as they join the guild, do as stated above and email support, the person will be banned and will no longer plague ur guild.

As for the booted members, explain what happened and im certain they will understand

Huh. That same guy joined our guild and I don't remember if he asked to be officer, but he didn't become one. Phew...

Though, we have very few people under lvl 50 as the requirements for our guild, Chicken Invasion (leader: chickenrunnn), is 50+.

And a question: Couldn't you just invite them back? O.o

Most of them were not my personal friends, so I have no way of contacting them and do not know most of the people who were deleted. So it would be very hard

umm, you might be able to ask the devs, they keep a log of all chat and i believe when members are booted from a guild it gets announced on the guild chat. Hopefully they can and will help.

Debbycakes - I posted this a couple days ago in the tips for new guild leaders thread, but I think it fits here too. I have seen so many people spamming guild invites and saying things like become an officer when you join guild. Not saying your guild is one of those, but you have to remember one of the biggest things with any guild is to be very careful who you make officers. I know there is a desire for new guilds to recruit and add members quickly. So therefore the position of officer is quickly given to some in an effort to grow the guild. But the power to add people also comes with the power to delete people. Unfortunately, there are some people that seem to get their jollys from messing with peoples guilds. They come in, act all helpful, become officers -- and then delete the guild membership. For those GM's that don't have all their members written down or on the friendlist -- it is nearly impossible to reconstruct the guild as it was. Former members will just see they have been booted from the guild and not know the reason why. Some may then move on and join other guilds.

So be careful who you make officers. It happened it SL and now it looks like it is happening in PL.

Also, if it does happen to your guild -- email support(at)spacetimestudios.com. It is considered Griefing under the TOS and is a bannable offense. But that doesn't mean the Devs can put your guild back together if it does happens. Just there are consequences for the party responsible.

yup its not being taken lightly,

Hopefully lesson learnt, in the future you will have the knowledge not to make someone untrustworthy to be an officer in you're Guild High Lvl/To soon, though this has happened to others and the problem was rectified Go DEVS!!!

that really sucks sorry to hear that.. we had a discussion about this yesterday. some people who had joined with virtue had stories about mass booting and other crazy things from their former guilds. i think it's crazy but inevitable. we're dealing with real people here, not npc's or AI. when you're dealing with real ppl the whole game changes.
