Well it won't be 12+ since that's impossible for any game with a chat system.

Sexual related themes would be closer to a 18+ depending on the rawness of it.

A 17+ game is one with mature tones, high violence, etc.

Umm on the Apple App Store, both SL and PL are rated 9+

Then they should change that. Even STS admitted that their games are 13+ because of COPPA. Tell a dev that they're rating is messed up. There have been kids banned for being under 13. That rating in there has to be changed and I'm not sure how a slip up like that go there

No the law requires that users be 13+ but the rating, that has no legal power, simply symbolizes the maturity level of the game, the content is 9+ but the online interaction isnt included

Thought they was being banned from the forums for being under 13. Games a different story anyone can download it in cyberspace you can be whatever age you want.
