Vyxnaar: Too Random

So the rare Vyxnaar helm got a cool new makeover! Ok, everybody wants one now.

Anyways, I run into The Forbidden Crypt with my tanker to farm the boss. After about 10 minutes, he spawns and drops junk like usual.

So I wait... and after 15 more minutes, still no respawn. I'm thinking, "Okay, I just have bad luck. I'll wait a little longer." After 30 minutes total, I'm starting to get pissed off. I decide to stay until it spawns so I can tell the Devs that the time needs to be shortened.

I waited for 45 total minutes. An hour. Nothing. After 1 hour and 27 minutes total of waiting, (yes I kept track,) I got so sick of it and left.

The whole "random spawn" idea is good, and I like it. However, it needs limits. I think the respawn time should be set to a minimum of 5 minutes and maximum of 20 minutes.

I know that decrease the value of the rare drops, but waiting half an hour or more for a boss to spawn is kind of overkill, at it's low drop rate of rares. To make it just as challenging, they could enlarge the area so you have to run around more to locate Vyxnaar when he spawns.

But at the moment, it's screwed up. Either that or I'm the most unlucky person in te world.

He is a ultra rare boss, do not wait in the same part walk around. After killing him leave, then go back in... Makes more sense eh? I have killed him 50-60 times now, no drop just junk. I have seen 3 drop so far. He is supposed to hard to find, so he spawns all over the place.

hmm now that i think about it, ive seen him like only 3 times... after i get some kind of good staff at AO2 ill try this guy...

Isn't too rare, this is the rarest boss/drop in game now. and thank god, everyone seems to have every "rare" item. Nothing is all too rare in this game, I remember farming for months in many other mmos for certain drops.
You can get him to spawn every 10-20minutes running around killing everything.

And just FYI, by "waiting" I meant constantly running to every room to see if he respawned there. And some killing too.

I think it would be fun if eh spawned every 5-15 minutes no matter what, but in a huge labyrinth maze.

I think some mini-bosses as place-holders would solve the situation.

Placed in a notable location you'd realise they were place-holders and drop chances would seem a little more fair (in my eyes at least).

ya i agree he rlly to random and bmc i like the idea of a place holder boss gives u something else to do while wating for him to respawn!

same here you're not the only one who gets pissed off ..today i got a total of 4 kills and lucky for me i actually got a pink..not the helm but a lvl 25 jewel thief's avian helmet

i agree. there needs to be at least one super rare item. the hammer drops become more frequent now because of the new patch... that's enough.

If you know how to run this level correctly (Run as in use not run.) you will find him more often then you think you would.
PL should have more mini-bosses dropping Uber-rares, I would love to see a low level sword with some h/s-m/s say (3/ms - 3/hs)
Anyway, maybe make his apperances less random but just as rare.

ive found and killed him about 30 times. Got nothing. then again i never find what im looking for. Saw some guy with the helm... said he killed him 5 times to get it

i agree with why wait? i've gone into many dungeons for a specific reason, say mynas for example. i just run straight to him spamming death along the way if he's there i kill him if he's not i restart the map from scratch.

He's rare? I wonder how the randomness is determined. I've also had times when he didn't seem to respawn, but then also had two instances of him at once. I was so dead. Or you kill him, turn the corner and there he is. It almost seems like when the room is created there's some setting made and you get good ones or not.

In any case, the drop seems rare, but all in all it seems pretty easy to find him, just tedious and boring to farm for long, without much gold or other drop compensation.
