    Default Respecing - Attribute Points

I want to play as a Str bear warrior, not doing PvP and generally playing as a tanking warrior to archers and mages, and I originally thought I would respec everything into Str but I'm sure I read somewhere that there is currently some type of limit of how much Str is actually useable, either by weapons or skills or something.

I believe that if I have 142 Str, then I can use "all" Str equipement and weapons - is that correct?

The question is, where do I put the rest of my attribute points? I was thinking about putting them all into Dex but I did also wonder whether I should split them across Dex and Int (for mana/skill regen).

Or do you think the advent of AO3 will include new levels, and therefore new equipment, so should I keep a few extra points into Str by making it something like 150 Str?

What do you think? What do you use/recommend?

    Thanks.

You don't need any int points, go dex for the remanding points. Just have one piece of thoth gear on, and you will able to spam all your skills. If you are PVPing, which you aren't, you'll find you will run out of mana after a few minutes of nonstop spam.

i always suggest having 16 in points once all your armor is equipped. 1 m/s for what will end up bing 7 int stat points is very worth it.

honestly i'd only put enough into dexterity to give 100%hit and the rest into strength to increase the power of stomp

Rest in dex, if you need m/s you can do that through gear.

Just remember Azrael, regen is a continuum and not discreet values, so if you have for instance 15 Int as a bear you will have about 0.98 M/s, and getting yourself to exactly 16 isn't really necessary unless you absolutely need to see that number displayed in the avatar screen.

For attributes, if you want to be a PvE tank, getting Dex up so your hit is 100%, then putting everything else in Str is fine, but even more Dex is good, especially if you are concerned with doing damage and not just tanking. For PvP, I still say 142 Str, the rest in Dex.

No that has been there since the cap was 25 at least. I bought it when the cap was 35, and now seriously regret it lol, since it's stats are totally inferior to top level 45 gear, and it will obviously be total fail as a level 50 weapon. The cap will however be raised to 50 as soon as AO3 comes out.

So in that case should we add a little more str as base instead of 142?

    Shadowsx - Level 33 142intMage:

No... Not necessary. Each lvl u gain u get 5 attribute points. So that means 25 points when u reach lvl 50. It will always be enough for item requirements so you can put those points in str then. You will probably even have some left

    Eatmybow: lvl50 Warrior (farmer)
    Gcrow: lvl45 Archer
Too lazy to lvl up gstarrr & gcrow...
