Don't ruin it like PL. My first sts game is AL but I hear all bout crafting in PL so I loaded and played and crafting sux there. U can farm whatever and just run round till u get a recipe finally.
I rather have crafting like tradition mmorpgs. Skill based. Make it a passive that u use skill points AND have to practice at. More practice means more fails means more farming. Make the high lvl combos unknown so ppl have to experiment...and spend gold or plat to make. Make random materials as well as low lvl drops (all but pinks...heck even pinks) craft able to boost stats in diff ways as long as u have the skill and experimented urself. U can even have plat only supplies or even better elite plat recipe books where u don't have to experiment...if u have ingredients...the recipe lights up but u no clue which ingredients without experimenting.
I think this would keep ppl farming, playing, lvling skills, selling, etc
