Before a rumor gets to spread there is no way under any circumstances that a Mythic purchase only pet is currently planned to become a drop after being a plat exclusive. We have a system wherein Mythic Pets have been defined as plat exclusive, and Arcane pets are extremely rare drops in locked Crates. This should be consistent moving forward into future content.
Legendary and Epic pets are in a gray area as they are all available through a multitude of areas. Nexus is by no means a common drop, and we have numerous pets that are purchasable with plat in addition to being farmed. Nexus has joined the other pets in that category.
If you feel the Nexus situation has treated you unfairly please contact our customer support and begin a dialogue with them, they may be able to help you out.
Yes, people have to remember this. While it's ok to voice your opinion, people should remember to be nice and respectful. Sam is doing customer service, but he's not the main decision maker at STS. I think myself and some others were more concerned with the possibility that pets like Ripmaw that do cost a lot of plat could possibly follow this pattern. But it has now been confirmed to us that is never going to happen, so I think the issue has been resolved and clarified to my satisfaction.
Its not RipMaw I was worried about. Its the other plat exclusive pets we're forced to buy with plat at first (Dart, Nexus, Malison, Clyde, etc.) that can/will be available for plat in the future. The descriptions say "plat exclusive", which give off the impression that they won't be droppable later on. Therefore misleading players.... False advertisement.
Its frustrating to know I paid real moola for an in game item that suddenly became droppable... Could've just got it for free smh. This is the second* time this happens! First Malison now Nexus... Geeze.

Malison was never plat exclusive, it was frost who was.
But now you have your answer. Only mythic pets will be plat exclusive forever. Other pets may start plat exclusive and may become rare drops at some future time depending on how well they are selling. So now you can make a more informed decision.
And as was stated in this thread, if you are upset at something you purchased and wish to get a refund, just email them. So now you have no reason to be upset.
If I get a refund, I lose the pet. No point. :/ So yeah, I gotbplenty to be upset about.
@lady pebbles i dont mind losing nexus if i get a refund. but the hours spent on leveling the pet is not worth the refund. so i guess ill just let it be

Agreed. I bought all plat pets with plat.....that's 50 plat just from frost and nexus alone I'm not happy about this

I did hope Hazel will be a droppable egg in the newest expansion., nexus is a good substitute.

Mehmet tuncay This made me mad, sucks wasting plats on things like this only to change in future. If they ever make ripmaw a drop i want my 250plats back and my nexus plats along with all the others u plan to do this with .I have right to complain and others as i am beastmaster and that takes time,money, and dedication to get especially now that prices are so high on eggs. Point is I could have waste my plats on something else then a pet ill never use. Could've saved plats for vanity instead and just bought the dumb egg.
