What would be the point of going 18 if u dont get 1 ms

That 1 extra skill point and 5 attribute points gives you an even larger advantage when you pick on 15-17 mages

A fun build I used with 18 mage was 6 lightning, 6 fire, 1 frost, 1 drain, 1 ice storm, 1 heal, 1 ms.
Use L15 Dex hallo helm, L18 Pink fbow, L15 Artisans, and a DMG/crit ring. You'll nuke best with max Dex but use 22/37 int for regen.
Goal is to nuke L15 mages with first combo but if they tank it might take a second one so use ms to stay alive longer.
To fight bears just kite with 5 fire and try not to get close at all until they have low HP and you can pop ms and go in to nuke with a combo like drain, frost, light, ice, fire or something like that.
Birds and foxes at that level are pretty weak so just kite them and they will die quickly. You can use the same tactic you use against bears for them
I don't remember if this build works against 17 rhinos or not but you can try to nuke them. If you can't well that sucks.
