How is this not good for mages? Last I heard crit was a good thing in smurfland (although like everyone else damage is better) and you can use this shield while your skill one is in cooldown, making you a supersmurf. Really, I think some people just complain for the sake of complaining.

Never said its not a good put for mages but this pet is most ideally for rogues with the mana boost n crit. Shield is definitely a plus point for all classes.

No confirmation, the numbers are from field tests directly comparing arcane shield with Scortch's AA.

I'm fairly certain the mechanism behind them is the same. So both 1765 integer damage and 30-35% damage reduction.

Hmm, I see. I guess I'll wait for some official word. I'm not in any rush for a new pet--have others that need some leveling already--and it isn't like he'll be gone Monday.
If it does have both forms of reduction, I'll consider it on my mage for running elite dragon enclave maps to support my group/keep them healthy.

I like the attempt at something new with pets. The arcane ability certainly seems to do a good job of it. However, the passive is pretty much Guapo's (lol, and isn't the reason mythic pets have the same damage/crit of legendary pets is because the passive and arcane are supposed to be tons better? Not to forget that Haze has a better happiness...).

Currently, the only mythic worthy aspect of this pet is the arcane ability. :/

Mages already have a decent supply of mana..what we need more is Intel boost n dmg tho :/ not sayin this ain't a good pet. Just more ideally for rogues.

Was so excited until I saw the +mana and +mana regen. Decided to pass on this pet.

The happiness bonus and arcane ability is better than Glacian for a Mage (at least from my pov).

I think this pet has a lot of potential. I don't get the 3-5 sec for level 10 though. When mine was level 1,it still lasted around 8sec

What is the damage reduction offered by the shield? And is the egg available from locked crates or from other means?

Potential for rogue esp... High crit ok but mana regen & mana boost?? Really? Low base stats, no damage buff, no health / armor / damage reduce buff =(

I have suggestions. Why dnt sts change 160 mana to :

1) +10 INT (Instead of 160 Mana, 1 INT give 10 mana too right?)
or
2) 10% damage


at least his happiness still can be compared to Haze or Slag or Ethyl. That's would be more balance for all class.. This is mythic pet right? Or i am wrong? Actually i hav waited this mythic Dragon whelp so long time and that mana regen n boost happiness make me down. I would appreciate it so much remi thx =) love all sts job

Only way i see a Scorch egg happening is if they put them inside locked crates as part of an event. MANY, MANY, MANY months from now at that.

The Grimm fiasco was a unfortunate to say the least. Sorry you can't buy it with gold. just wait.

I don't have a problem with a limited release in locked crates like they did with ripmaw/slag/abbadon eggs last month, but I do NOT want to see what we saw with grimm eggs. There are still tons of them showing up for sale in the auction, and it has completely devalued how much a mythic pet should be worth.

Yes, gotta keep crate poppers happy! Although I wouldn't mind being able to buy this pet for all my toons at 650-700k an omelet Crack Abaddon the cheapest egg version is now worth just as much as the other 2! If anything STS should stop making mythic pets from coming back time to time to increase older mythic pets value. Kind of like how glacian and hammerjaw should stop dropping when they already have been completely outclassed by old Sam and Singe. I don't want a super Nintendo when I could have gotten a ps4!
