L50 PvP archer guide: A weapon of death
Hello PL forumers! Today you’ll read a guide, you will learn how to make yourself pvp like a deadly weapon. I will start with the gear.
Gear
There are alot good dex sets for l50. For example cyber set, mystery set and the one I most prefer (but a bit pricey) the sentinel death shotgun set. Also be sure to wear some cool black vanity helmets like Ursan beret or Black headphones.
For the build I go full dex and below you can see the skill setup: 31886
For the rings I mostly use the Fine golden band of technique or the Fine platinum Band of technique.
Fights
Now you’re going to do what you really want: fighting like a deadly weapon.
For the 1v1 forest fight “go” fights you must have good timing and fast fingers.
Bird vs Bird:
Alright bird vs bird is not like most say dodge dependant. The basic combo’s are:
Thorn root- blast shot- repulse shot- blind shot.
Repulse- blast shot- (come a little closer) thorn root- blind shot.
For a more complicated combo: (stay on the 12-13m range) blind shot- repulse- thorn root- blast shot. This combo is hard to use since you must not get caught in the 11-10m range or you’ll get rooted and everything gets messed up.
Bird vs Mage
For bird vs dex mage you need really good timing. Mages will always not MS (mana shield) in the beginning of the fight. They will wait until they get closer and then mana shield. What I mostly do is repulse- blast shot because when you repulse them away they will feel you are going to try and nuke them and they use their mana shield. But when you blast shot right after it, the mana shield will break and they’ll become very squashy but yet not in the range to nuke you.318893188831887
After you are out of their range and they are unshielded you must try and get close since they can have long range hits aswell. I mostly use break shot- thorn root- (if blast shot is available again) blast shot. If not then blind shot.
For bird vs int mage I pretty much use the same strategy.
Bird vs bear
Bird vs str bear is pretty easy but when you mess it up the bear will kill you. I always use blind shot so I debuff their hit%, then I use: thorn root- thorn wall- break shot- shattering scream- blast shot- repulse. In this time the bear will most likely be dead. Try to keep out in long range most likely 12-10m and kite the bear so it won’t be able to hit you.
Bird vs dex bear is hard but definitely not impossible. I mostly keep them in the 11m-12m range so they will waste their beckon. After that you will thorn root- shattering scream- blast shot- repulse.
CTF
This is my favorite part. A good bird is crucial in CTF. Mostly there is a bear in your team and you let the bear do the tanking work. After the bear pulls an enemy or two you will want to insta-nuke the enemy. So vs mages you break their shield and root- break- repulse. Vs bears you double root and shattering scream- blast shot. Vs birds you thorn root- blast shot- repulse and then the fight’s mostly already over. When the bear gets in the flag room don’t try to go all superman and hold up the 3 enemy’s. You are a squashy bird and must play tactical and smart. Follow the tank to the flag. Let him do his work as a tank and repeat what’s stated above on the enemy’s.
