What lvl do bears dominate at?

Internal, use rift at least. You prolly know skill allocation, so I'll tell strategy:
Against Birds: A bird will ofc kite u, if he is sentinel shotgun bird, then even more annoying.
First, buff, charge in with beckon stomp! They repulse, charge again! When youre around half health, theN RUN AWAY! Keep away from 13m, and run like a fool!
*bird thinking*"eh, this guy prolly has rlly low health, ima chase him till I can root em"
Runnn! After running, hes prolly chasing you, then suddenly, stop running, and charge at him! It will catch him by surprise!
Beckon him to a wall or tree, hell scream him to ensure the stun!
When he is stunned against wall, move out where hes in the middle of you and wall/tree, then STOMP.
Use crippling to ensure he stays, then CRUSH, sMs, venge.
Keep em walled. He'll eventually die.

Against mages.
Mages use shotgun or shadow, so for shotgun,Repeat pattern against birds, EXCEPT, if you see their Mana Shield goin up, then immediately wall em, and nuke all your skills.
Against shadow, just do normal walling technique since they cant kite at 13m

Against Other bears.
If its another bear with hate or rift, or fury,
Then stomp to avoid beckon, wait for stomp, run in, beckon, hell, stomp, SMS, crush, those slashes.
Point is to keep him stunned, as these matches can take long time.

Against talon bears.
Point is to keep close as possible, as they are a bit squishy with sentinel gear.
Dont let him out of your reach and range, beckon, hell, slashes and cs, ONLY STOMP IF HE IS AGAINST WALL/TREE!

Pretty much what I know.

Another trick ik,
If someone comes foolishly close, hell scream him, stomp, (here he should be stunned) when hes about to fly, use beckon again, he flys and gets pulled again, then normal slashes and cs.

Plus, against anyone, if they are walled, always use SMS then cripp, as SMS knocks away a bit, and cancels root from cripp.

Also use SMStomp combo, SMS and stomp for even MOAR flying away (if you want to run for Regen, that is :P)

A bear is pretty darn good. Sure, it may not be the most dominant class, but it is definitely competitive in 50. I can't believe I am saying this, but I suggest you follow Shadowstar's advice. It covers a lot of the basic tips and tricks one should know while using a bear.


Also, like Dahveed (Mysticaldream), told you in the very beginning - use Rift.

Rift gives you an insane amount of armor and health, that dodge doesn't even matter :D i'll still be sticking to sent talon though because I love it :D

Go to 51 and get Royal Sewer helm and armor with a RR Recurve, make a separate loadout for m/s as you will have 0 with RR, or just get a SK scarab.

The best bear I ever fought was a pure dex shotgun bear. I watched him destroy bears, mages and birds alike, including myself. In a battle to 10 I can't say for sure that I'd win. No offense, internal, but I'm pretty sure bears aren't underpowered, but rather underplayed. No one's played them enough to know their strengths and weaknesses. (Except for a select few which have identified themselves many times in this thread or other threads)

My advice, as I've given many times before, is summed up in a simple statement. Often people will say "Teach me how to play a 50 bird" or teach me this build, or teach me that build. My advice is always, "Time is the best teacher." Didn't you just level to 50 like two days ago? I've played level 50 for near two years now and still have random people pop in, own me, and then teach me some new tricks. Give it some time, bro. No one can expect to dominate after only a little practice.

The best bear I ever fought was a pure dex shotgun bear.

A pure dex bear can't be best bear, rather a 'spammer' anyway it's your perspective.

I'll explain a little bit that how this should be called spamming.

A pure dex bear rely mostly on auto, becon & stomp, specially on auto.

Pure dex build (for highest damage ane dps)+highest damage and dps weapon + high damage and dps buff=> Making it highest damaging ranged auto for that level, most dex bears mostly depends on this.

And shield, for str fights, ff recurve for birds and nuking, 51 personally is one of the most fun lvs for bear, 51 bears are op

61 with orlok set, and sm set for mages, the higher damage is better for them cos there easy
To keep in place

66 angel bear dominates, mixed str and dex angel talon owns str bears, dex birds, sun god bow with str for mages

71 with beastly for str fights, just a flying talon to equip with beastly, for birds, talon will
Give extra hit for beckon to pull, if it misses

50 death mages are amazing. A good bear is also amazing at 50. Maybe you just aren't skilled enough to play bear at 50 and be good at it because you seem to play bear only at the levels it is op.

People are missusing the word "Op" everywhere, it's called the dominating class at that particular level. And I will agree that at l66 Mages can handle themselves from any other class, bears are missing the dmg that they gain at l70-71.

As a cap-pvp-only-bear-player I can say they can do good at any level. Every class has its weaknesses. But I see bears destroying enemies alot at L61 / L60 / L56 also at L10 - L15 (refereing to Kawakawasaki). I suggest you start at L15 to get a feeling for stomp then after a while going to L35 then L51, L56 (L60 if you can afford) and to L66. Its pretty messed up at cap atm due to the flying curse but if you can avoid fighting pro birds you will have fun there too.

Back on topic, someone with a good understanding of bear skills can make a good bear at any level. It takes an understanding of skills, gear and gear setup, and what your opponents tendencies are. However, the same applies to all classes. Those who love their class research a ton and practice a lot.

Lol, bears are not op. They are good at all levels, but definitely not op at all levels like you said. I've heard that they are op at 56 (I don't play at that level so I don't know for sure) but that's all. They are by far the most used class at level 10-17 pvp, but that doesn't mean they would be op. Mages and birds kite bears easily at levels 10-21 (12m fire and 12m repulse vs. 8m stomp, gg), and mages are pretty much op at 22-49.

After that it's pretty much like this:

Lvl 50: balanced
Lvl 51-55: balanced
Lvl 56: balanced? Or bears might be slightly op, idk.
Lvl 61: pretty much balanced, but bear < bird < mage < bear
Lvl 66+: idk

What are your IGNs?
If you have lvl 21-23 bear, you can prove their OPness by fighting my lvl 22 fox.
