VIP Chest?

If I opened the VIP chest as a level 26, if by some chance I get a mythic or arcane item would it be level 26, or 31?

All items are scaled to level, but I don't know how it works with Mythics or Rares and such.

I think that if you receive the arcane hooks or a mythic helm, those will be level 26; however, if you receive an arcane hammer or a mythic armor, those will be level 31.

Actually I'm not sure myself. I only went into all when it first released. Tried it. Didn't like it.
