Pure Mage not best?

I have noticed lately that pure Mage has become pretty difficult to do, so I was wondering, is dex Mage good?

Pure int has better skill damage, heals.
More mana for ms to last longer

Dex gives more hit and better overall stats, still just as squishy in lower levels where int based gear doesn't give much hit, like 35 voodoo mages, usually use 67 dex, aswell for the rings, and at 51 with mm set witch leaves you with like 99hit when full int, alot of mages go half dex, but 66+ islander, sharp, sand goddess fiery, gives quite abit of hit, making pure int the better option :) and considering most end gamers of pvpers at 60+ have dragon rings, witch beats the point of having 67 dex

facts to be spoken, if u can 2 hit kill the class, in endgame that everyone fear most, as str mage, why u would like to be a pure mage? anyway classy pure mages can survive this cap easily and can be as deadly as bird.
