Times of matches are listed bellow. Please check the times yourselves. I have tried to keep preferred times, but since we have players from all possible timezones, sometimes that wasn't possible. Some players may have to stay up late or wake up early. That is unavoidable. If you can't make the time of the match, tell your guild so you can be replaced with a backup.

Times are listed in GMT 0. All players should check their GMTs on this website: http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/ and compare it with GMT 0. MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THE TIME OF THE MATCH FOR YOUR GMT/TIMEZONE. If you get it wrong by even 1 hour, you risk your guild being declared a no show.

Guild teams should gather in their guild halls, then communicate with the opponent guild to enter a CTF game. The guilds have sole responsibility for communicating with their opponents, so add the members of the opposing team as your friends.





Re-scheduling
- If you have to re-schedule a match, contact your opponents and try to agree on a time and day that will NOT disturb any other matches. If you do, post the new time and day here and I will correct it.
- If you can't find a time that doesn't disturb other matches, and it is impossible for you to play with your team (main or backups) at the arranged time, post here and we will figure it out. Keep in mind that in this case many matches could be changed so I want to avoid this unless it is absolutely necessary.
- I am announcing the times early to give you time for possible re-scheduling. Any changes should be made within the week BEFORE Friday.

Ties
- If there is a tie between two or more teams (they have the same points after all their matches have finished) there will be a Death Match between them. More specifically, the two teams will play THREE Death Matches. Screenshots from all three should be posted here. The team with most total kills wins the tie.
- If the two teams can arrange the Death Matches by themselves, they should do so and post here. Otherwise I will arrange the times. Keep in mind that those times could be on Sunday, so it could be short notice. If your team has tied, keep checking this thread for updates.

The total duration of the tournament will be 3 weeks/3 weekends.

No further additions to backups will be accepted.

Guilds are requested to check that their opponents are all listed in the opposing guild's team list. If there are players that are not listed in their list, you should demand they be replaced before the match starts. Players NOT listed in the team either as main or backup CANNOT play in the tournament.


Remember:
-Take a screenshot of the result screen and post it in this thread.
- No shows: If a guild doesn't show up for the arranged match, the team of the opponent guild that DID show up should get in a CTF and get a screenshot to prove they were there, and post it here. The match will then be re-arranged once. If the same team doesn't show up again, the team that showed up will win 3-0 by default (screenshot must be taken again). A team can be considered a no-show if 30 minutes from the arranged time has passed.
- Only players listed in a team's roster can participate. Guild members not listed CANNOT participate.
- if you play a match in one guild you CANT play another match in another guild. You are in ONE guild. Not as many as is convenient for you. Players who do this will be removed from the tournament and risk getting all matches they participated in canceled.



IMPORTANT:
Even though the rules posted in the first post state that every match should happen twice, due to the large number of matches, I am canceling that rule. So every match will happen once.

CTF Tournament

Hello to all the pvp guilds in DL!
I am pleased to announce an event that will cure the infinite boredom that inevitably haunts every DL player that has reached level cap!


A PvP Guild Tournament!


The rules are simple. Every participating guild will fight every other participating guild.
For example, if there are four guilds (1,2,3,4), the matches will be 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 2-3, 2-4, 3-4.

(There will be two matches between each guild for a more fair result!) - CANCELED


Each guild will earn points that are equal to the amount of flags they have scored! So if in the match between guilds 1 and 2, guild 1 scores three flags and guild 2 scores one flag, guild 1 will earn three points and guild 2 will earn one point.

The points from all matches will be added after all matches are complete. The guild with most points will win the tournament!

If there is a draw between guilds, a DEATH MATCH will be arranged between them. The match will decide the winner!



So, Guildies, if you want your guild to participate in the tournament, post below the following information:

1. Your Guild's name
2. Your Guild's GM
3. Your Guild's pvp team and a timezone for each of them. The team must consist of AT LEAST 5 players. Timezones should be in GMT format. If more than 5 players are added to your list, the first five should be your main team. The rest should be marked as backups. All players must be lvl 36.
4. Preferable day and time for your team to have a match in GMT format (optional).

Backup players would be useful in case not all members of the main team are available at the time for the match.

As long as the players you are changing with are listed as backup players, you can. However I would avoid this just in case someone else (a non guildie) enters the game instead of the player you want. That would ruin the match.

To all guilds: Update your info with GMTs please. An updated rule about no shows has been added, GMTs would help avoid such situations. I will try to plan the matches in convenient times, but whatever time your match is gonna get, you must be there!




And another thing, because I've been hearing it in the game. Some people are asking me what the prize for winning is. Well, I haven't mentioned a prize, because there isn't one. And that is for the following reasons:

First: The guilds pay no fee to participate, so there isn't a pool of gold.

To all guilds: Update your info with GMTs please. An updated rule about no shows has been added, GMTs would help avoid such situations. I will try to plan the matches in convenient times, but whatever time your match is gonna get, you must be there!




And another thing, because I've been hearing it in the game. Some people are asking me what the prize for winning is. Well, I haven't mentioned a prize, because there isn't one. And that is for the following reasons:

Since Explicit hasn't showed up in any of this weekend's matches, I am removing them from the tournament.

That simply means that all the matches involving them will never happen. As for the matches that were already planned and didn't happen, no points will be awarded. Again, it will be like those matches never existed. Apologies to Dark Legendz, Sick my Duck and 8bit for the time they wasted waiting. These things happen. It seems some players in Explicit were either unable or didn't want to participate in the tournament. Of course, that doesn't excuse the fact that they had 1 week to let us know about it, before the tournament started.

I have tried to widen the time between matches for the same guild, in order to allow for long matches. Matches will take place from Friday evening to Sunday night.

The final matches will be the weekend after the next one. That means the total duration of the tournament will be 3 weeks/3 weekends.

Any backups you want to add in your teams should be added until Tuesday the 25th. After that, no further additions will be accepted.

Guilds are requested to check that their opponents are all listed in the opposing guild's team list. If there are players that are not listed in their list, you should demand they be replaced before the match starts. Players NOT listed in the team either as main or backup CANNOT play in the tournament.

The whole point of having a list is to settle on a specific team, not to allow anyone to join the guild at anytime during the tournament and play as a member of the guilds team. I understand timezone difficulties might have made it necessary for guilds to add extra backups, that is why I allowed additions even after the tournament started. Considering how many backups all the participating guilds have, and the fact that i'll announce the times early so if there are problems they can be changed, I think its improbable that all your backups wont be able to make it.

Anyway the answer is no, this is a guild tournament, and while I've had no problem with people joining guilds just to play in the tournament, if any player from any guild joins the match it stops being a guild tournament. And your team stops being a guild team.

Due to problems with Zeitgeist's GMTs, the times of some matches have been CHANGED. Please check the times again.

Post any problems you have with the times. I realize some guilds may have players from many different GMTs. That's why I asked that a GMT be added for every player in the list. Otherwise I'm just guessing according to the preferred time. That is what happened with Zeitgeist. Likewise, I'm assuming Scorched is GMT -4, AOTA is -4, IX is +1.

Again, if the times don't work for you, and that means that you CANT get 5 players to play at that time, (main or backup), post here.

Keep in mind that arranging these matches is a GMT domino nightmare lol. If you can add GMTs for your players, do so.

Well this is a tough one, considering you have GMT +10, others in your guild (Sam and Cast I think) are GMT -4, and 8bit is GMT +3. That pretty much covers the globe lol.

Here are four options:

a) 1 pm Saturday GMT -4 | 8 pm Saturday GMT +3 | 3 am Sunday GMT +10 | 5 pm Saturday GMT 0 (This seems late for your GMT +10)
b) 12 pm Saturday GMT -4 | 7 pm Saturday GMT +3 | 2 am Sunday GMT +10 | 4 pm Saturday GMT 0 (Only two hours from AOTA match with Zeitgeist, might be close)
c) 8 am Saturday GMT -4 | 3 pm Saturday GMT +3 | 10 pm Saturday GMT +10 | 12 pm Saturday GMT 0 (Only two hours from AOTA match with Zeitgeist, might be close, and might be early for your GMT -4 guild mates)

I appreciate what you're saying Iti.

In the case of Dark Legendz and Madhouse, they agreed between themselves for a time that would not disturb any other matches, so I had no problem changing the time.

With Zeitgeist, it seems the GMTs were different than I thought, so I had to change several matches (domino effect) in order to improve things for them, as they had several players in completely different GMTs than I first assumed.

As for AOTA, like I said to Flare, if I can change it to a time that will neither disturb other matches or be bad for the opposing team, I'll try to do so. But yeah in most matches GMT difference makes options limited. I agree with what you say, I'm sure AOTA has backups to replace players who will be unavailable.

In any case, I did ask everyone if they have a problem with the time to post it here. The reason I did, is because with some guilds (Zeitgeist, IX, Scorched, AOTA), I don't know the exact GMTs of all the players, so I'm just guessing based on the preferred time or the GMTs I happen to know. That might cause problems (like it did with Zeit). I asked for individual GMTs during signup for that reason.

But yeah I agree with you, the purpose of the tournament is to have fun so all guilds should include as many players as they can. Don't get just your best players to play. Give your backups the chance to play as well!

Thanks :) I admit organizing the matches is a bit of a headache but I knew that when I decided to run this tourney so I don't mind doing it.

Again, to be absolutely clear. I understand that it is possible that my times may not work for some guilds. That's why I said to post here and discuss it. The easiest thing a guild can do is communicate with their opponents, set up a time that doesn't effect other matches, and let me know. Otherwise, I'll try to find an alternative that doesn't effect other matches. I do want to avoid the scenario where I have to change the times of many matches. If that isn't the case, I don't have a problem changing a time to something that is better for you.

I'm sure Itisi was just saying that guilds shouldn't try to re-arrange matches just because their main team can't play, even though backups are available. I agree with him on that, because that's the whole point of having backups! So they can replace team members that aren't available. If however your backups aren't available either, or you think there is a chance you might end up with less than 5 players, then of course you should try to re-arrange the match.

Like I said, if two guilds come up with a better time that doesn't effect other matches (like you and MH did), I have absolutely no problem changing the time :) So no problem lol

second i wanna make some things clear, which arent in the right light imo
ax sheduled our first match against scorched on a date, where all zeitgeist players where online and fielded a complete team - without any timezone problems
due to for me unknown reasons scorched couldnt do that - one thing is for sure it was not because of timezone problems, cause more than 5 players were standing in street at the time we should play
so the logical consequence was to reshedule the match and scorched used their wildcard
but what i dont get, why is zeitgeist "guilty" of having timezone problems, when they want to play the resheduled game on the exact same time the first match would have been held only a week later?

Sorry deadaluz I should have clarified that I'm not referring to the match with scorched. It's just that because of the scorched rescheduling I found out that your team has gmts like +2 and +6 and not mostly +8 like I first assumed. Due to an event of trash-talking from Scorched to Zeitgeist after their match I am forced to say this:

There is no room for acting like a spoiled 10 year old in this tournament. If you win, congratulations! Do so nicely without bragging, trash talking and insulting your opponents. Winning a match doesn't give you the right to try to rub it in the faces of the team who lost. The purpose of this tournament is to have fun, so play respectfully. Winning or losing doesn't really matter, as long as you enjoyed the game.

I sincerely hope something like this will not be repeated by any of the guilds in the tournament. If it is, there will be consequences. I came up with this tournament for players to have fun, not for them to ruin the fun of others.

if you play a match in one guild you CANT play another match in another guild. You are in ONE guild. Not as many as is convenient for you. Players who do this will be removed from the tournament and risk getting all matches they participated in canceled.

These are the last matches for this tournament. I have tried to leave Sunday a bit open for possible ties (see bellow).

Re-scheduling
- If you have to re-schedule a match, contact your opponents and try to agree on a time and day that will NOT disturb any other matches. If you do, post the new time and day here and I will correct it.
- If you can't find a time that doesn't disturb other matches, and it is impossible for you to play with your team (main or backups) at the arranged time, post here and we will figure it out. Keep in mind that in this case many matches could be changed so I want to avoid this unless it is absolutely necessary.
- I am announcing the times early to give you time for possible re-scheduling. Any changes should be made within the week BEFORE Friday.

Ties
If there is a tie between two or more teams (they have the same points after all their matches have finished) there will be a Death Match between them. More specifically, the two teams will play THREE Death Matches. Screenshots from all three should be posted here. The team with most total kills wins the tie.
If the two teams can arrange the Death Matches by themselves, they should do so and post here. Otherwise I will arrange the times. Keep in mind that those times could be on Sunday, so it could be short notice. If your team has tied, keep checking this thread for updates.
