how to add a picture to forum thread?

easy steps :

1- when you start a new thread or post a replay , you can see a toolbar that includes B,I,U , size , font , ETC... there is an icon
for adding pics " insert image " click it

2- then uplode your picture and make sure it is not over-sized *650/355 best size

3- click on submit

note : if your picture is over-sized it wont uplode , you can edit it on any photo editing software

Just remember to save image as a jpeg (JPG) not png.

Allowed filetypes are jpg, jpeg, gif and png,
same for signatures, excluding animated gif and it must be in between 500p x 100p. I believe there is no maximum of a picture size for forum posts, I myself have posted pics which were larger than 650 x 355.

Also (@Scia and psycho) you don't really have to upload it from your desktop, you can use an URL Image from Google pictures for example as well, I suggest photobucket.com as uploader service.
