Now I try lvling to cap lvl and what pet do yo think should I use when I am lvling?

It depends. I rotate the following pets now for my mage strictly PvE build, I don't PvP with it.
Clyde, Wrathjaw, Horton, Ribbit, Misty (Yes I bought it, hope it gets buffed in future).
I might throw Slag into the rotation, but not sure. I believe Mali should stick to Rogues, It seems to be an AVERAGE balanced Pet that alot of people just overrate.

Clyde, Slag, Colton , Kettle and Wrath, that`s how I roll.
Malison is a decent all around pet but lacks the damage-boost which other pets have (Slag,Kettle,Wrath,Colton). And the damage increase by those pets is huge at endgame.

I only use Colton, sometimes Orion for bosses.

Orion is my new favorite pet. Panic+ debuff= amazing ;D great for pvp too ;)

anyone use mist? i tried.. but i find slag is better due to stun ... don't know how efficient is the debuff of mist

Misty ok. Haven't really used in PvP yet. Biggest problem is an extremely slow cooldown of the arcane of about 30 sec. The slowest of any pet I have seen. Also, for those interested also does debuff being frozen by the ice patches in nordr.

I tried misty in PvP and it wasn't that great :S Also, I feel Orion panics more frequently then clyde for some reason >_< whenever I use clyde that little monkey just decides to play tricks on me and never panics ;(
