So I have invested in some crates. Now, I'm wondering if they would be worth opening because of the increased loot chance of Mythics and Arcanes, or if I should just wait until crates are at a higher price and sell?
How many crates did you open until you looted a Mythic?

opened 7 like 2 weeks ago and got myth war arm its all luck :D and that was without the myth increase :S

I've opened about 70-80 since the beginning and the only decent item I ever got was a McCraw Egg. I also got a couple of bonechill bows which were worth around 15-20k at the time. But never got a mythic or arcane. Those items are very rare and you never know. You can get one in the first crate, or you can open hundreds and never get any. Each crates has the same very small chance at one. It's not like your chances increase if you open more crates. Yes, percentages say the more crates you open, the higher total chance you will have to get one. But it's not like there's a certain number and if you open that many you will get one.

opened about 70 and got 3 mythic items.

Have pretty much resisted the urge to open crates till now... Opened 61 and got one mythic, the gun. Almost gave up as I got the gun in my last five crates. ^^ some people like jgacs and some of my friends got more lucky, but I wouldn't count on getting anything good when you go to open crates.

Opened 100 since this weekend and nada zero zip. I could have sold them all and bought a mythic sword :(

Welcome to the club! I opened a lot of crates in game maybe 300 and never drope mythic or arcane items...some players drop 4 mythics or more and 2 arcane items , I thinking about quit to this game.

Haha, well put. As a conservative, I have never once opened a crate and rarely do I ever open EGWs or EGPC2s. However, reading all these posts (here and the traders section) and looking at all the mythics in the CS... I got the itch. I tried 21 crates. Got a gun on 5th open... the rest we won't talk about :). First and last time opening those demon boxes.

Same thing happened to me today, only I looted Mythic bow. :p

Did another 100 today. I'm done with crates forever. I could have sold them all and bought the mythic bow with cash :( I have bad luck haha at least crates come with a little cash now

For me it was 50.
I sold 50 crates over the past couple of days, along with a heap of eggs, all of which I'd been hoarding since the luck amulet was released, which got me nearly 2 million gold to buy the Vigilant Pavise of Fitness for my warrior, but I'm not really impressed with it so far, guess I'll have to do some more runs to see.

Opened 150 ... no mythic or arcane..
No more wasting money now...

seems every 25 crates - mythic item (3/4 of items - weapons)
i've tried my luck with no success - opened around 70 crates.. no mythic just one mccraw egg.. still see plenty of new mythic in cs, the prices for weapons went down a lot..
