Going to get new internet, what is good enough for fast gaming? up to 12mbps or up to 40 mbps?

Depends on game requirements,but for this game its not much.You can even play at below 1Mbps

u can play as low as 5kbps (for merching only. u will lag in maps. pvp)

I suggest you to pay for 500mb/s internet. It gives you zero ping and also speed boost in game. You start dropping squid buddys every day with 500mb/s internet!
