Hi All, Today I read Reun's Selling thread "Selling EWT" I Saw Crim's post:


I remember a PL when someone was gifted something and they kept it forever. I still have my first Gurg Hammer (when they were a few 100k) which was given to me the moment I hit 50. Didn't know the person at the time, but his IGN is/was DJDragon.

After I read this I remember The Person Who gave me something I really needed Back then, It was A rift helm & Shield to complete my set, His/Her Ign was: xxcappiesxx, sadly set is lost along with my old acc..

yep, it was thrilling, I just needed the str armor to complete the set, I did not have money at all, I could never buy that armor, approx. 700k


Once I was pvp-ing with a mage, she asked y u don't have the set, I said I'm dying for it, she bought me that armor. it was absolutely shocking for me..

My friend murtaza, gave me a 56 xbow set, when it was worth 20mill, I later accuired 2 xboe sets, a charming wand and sm mace set, sm come with a little problem.(parth remembers this one right?)

My guildmate at that time (i cant recall the name now, geez), lent me the $2.5M to hit it and then i returned it to him right after. A little bit of trust right there for sure. Of course, shortly thereafter i lent him the $4M he needed to hit the same cap and returned it. Nowadays, a gold cap seems like not a big deal since so many players have multiple caps in their accounts! ha ha

Big deal for some of us. I have only been over a gold cap once and it pasted about 2 days. I have too many toons to be able to keep gold in my stash. Each time I start getting closer, I make a new toon and instantly go back into the 100k's. :)

The first pink I ever got for free was a level 45(or 50 not 100% sure) Blizzard stick. Some of your may think wow that's lame cheap and worth nothing, back then it's speed used to be .5 I believe it was so fast and had great damage per second I love that thing so much. Too bad they changed the speed to 1.0 now :(

The first gift i recieved was a L65 orange.. i was completely new to the game climbing the ladder had just hit L9 :) not too long after tht i saw this guy giving away items for free he gave me a L65 staff (orange) i kept tht till i was L57 .. when i accidently liquidated it along with the other commons and trash in my inventory :(

Meant alot tht time.. and now tht i think of it.. it acted as a warm welcome and and an incentive to lvl up.. cuz thrafter i had set my ambition bar higher and dreamt to stand amongst the L65 and 66s.. looking back at all those moments answers my question, "why am i still playing this game" :)

My first gift was late, yes, but a friend gave me a l.65 sang armor like the first week of fang, and i sold it for 50k. 3 days later, the price in cs was like 1.2mil xD. Still, I was pretty happy because it really meant a lot to me, even if I sold it haha.

There was these to people,Tegasthemain n Suntv, they were the nicest beings and every time I saw him he wud say,"u low on money" of course I was new so I was, so he just gave me items and money every time I was on. They both were lovers together in rl so they both power leveled me up to about 50. Though they haven't been on in months

Find me in game and be nice without begging and I generally help. I've given full savage to random player who was struggling to afford it. He had saved up only 1.8m so I gave it to him for 1.8m basically. I then gave that 1.8m away in increments of 100k to other nice players who seemed in need and ended up being very grateful :)

I've had a lot of gifts from the first few months of playing to even now.
The first one I remember was when I was in the mid 20's and I found out what an orcish bow was so I searched forums figuring out how to get one. So when I first met Orcish in game I almost flipped, I asked him/her about it and then he bought the last one from cs and gave it to me, I was so happy until I noticed how bad of stats it had but I still loved the gift.
Another gift I got was a level 5 expert armor and another orcish bow, I forgot who gave it to me but I used it to start twinking at low level.
This one isn't so much of a gift but a game changing tip, I was in my late level 30's and someone told me to put stats in rage, iron blood, hell scream, and beckon. At first I didn't think any of those skills or even buffs in general did anything so I just maxed out slashes and stomp until then. It really helped me so I wasn't a complete noob.
There have been several other gifts that I could talk about but it would take too much room.

Here is my story:
(This happened back in early 2011, thats why I think I can share this by now.)
When I was new, back when ppl had to buy maps for plat, I had an awkward problem. Since I live in Hungary free offers were not really an option for me to get plat, ad I had no chance at all to ask my parents, (I was a boy strictly restricted from video games). So there I was stuck on lvl13 when I first tried pvp. There I met "Bowbear" some of you know him as Shelby nowadays. He was a twink and even though I was a nub he didn't rush me, he teached me instead, builds, items, skills. When he decided to level his bird Bowbird at that time, I couldnt lvl with him. So he offered to buy me 5 bucks worth of plat, so I can buy some maps. I have heard about scams before, but I decided, that I was really a nub and he was pro, I don't have so much to lose, so I gave him my pass and login name. When I got my acc back he bought me 10 bucks worth of plat, with which I could get all the maps I wanted, and some bonus character slots. This might not seem much to you now, but for me that 75 plat was waaaaay more than I ever dreamed of back than! :) I leveled with him to 51, he lvled up like 3 chars until I did 1 but neither the less we had tons of fun!
Whatever some of you may think of Shelby, helping a noob this much and saying that : - "My payment will be the fun we will have lvling together." - is way more kindness that most of us have shown in a game.
