Yeah I'm not sure how it happens but it has something to do with being in the vanity part of inventory, then exiting out to main screen and going back in.
It's just a small glitch that sometime vanity menu coincide with non vanity items.

The glitch I like is a 1h staff, try and see if you can do it. Its quite simple
