To all merchers out there, some one of you have made careless mistake when buying/selling your items, like what gundamsome did when he erroneously posted a mythic gun in auction at 41M!!! and then he asked for a refund.

do i get a refund T_T

The purpose of this post is to share your stupid mistakes you've made when merching so that others (newbie merchers) can learn from it.

Thanks

Don't completely trust the Auction. Sometimes people just put a common pink item for a high price, then get on another toon and say they'll sell an item for 200k, but in auction its 450k and so you think it would be a good and easy merch but soon come to find that in reality, that items only costs 5k :/ GF bank lol xD.

Well not exactly in AL, but in PL there's this thing called a Toyman Wand, and I had a rare version: L15 Pink Toyman. I tried to put in auction for 1.5m but actually put it in there for 150k, fml.

I sold a McCraw egg for 250k, but the person buying it said they would pay 250k, but instead put 25k in the trade window, and I accepted it without double checking. It was kind of a scam, but I should be more careful. I realize right away, but of course he ignored my PMs.

Auctioned a 12mil item for just 12 hours, accidentally clicking 1 too many times.

list price was 600k+ and it didnt sell, next time i auctioned it for 3 days and it sold in not longer than 15 minutes -.-

Believe it or not, I only remember making one merchanting mistake and that was in PL.

What was it? Selling a L15 Artisans for 40k when I meant to list it for 400k. Oh well, I bought 4 of them for 200k each, so I was profiting anyways.

Accidently put malison in for 25k instead of 250 and someone brought instantaneously.

My worst, not really a blunder, but still a big loss. I picked up a sorc mythic set for 15m, at current rates I was expecting to get at least 18m back for it. A few days later they announced the crate changes and mythic weapons dropping again...

which is why i dont understand until now why the auction does not format amounts when it is so easy to do from a development standpoint ..

if there would be comma delimited characters included, very few merchants will certainly make this common mistake

My worst blunder? Hmm.
Maybe the time when I sold all my snaggletooths and wrathjaws (12 in total) around a week or two before they started to go up. Not really a loss on my part, but I still cringe when I think of all the gold i couldve made

Who wouldnt? Instant profit for the buyer. Reminds me of the time when Colton was still selling around 400k to 450k, someone posted a Colton for 250k, I immediately rush to my stash to get some gold. Luckily, no one has noticed it, bought it and sold for 400k. Easy profit.

The lesson here to avoid these mistakes is

ALWAYS DOUBLE-CHECK THE ITEMS YOU'RE SELLING/BUYING

When 76 cap came, it rose and I saw tons of offers ranging from 15-20m, I wanted to cry.

Sold 3 Malison eggs @75k each and countless Loki eggs @ minimum price back in S2. More a lack of insight than blunder, but then I was quite poor at that time and needed the gold, meh.

hmmm i nvr made mistake though coz atfirst i see listing fee. nd common sense lol like if u want to put 100k stuff listing fee is 10k approx nd if one mistakely put 10k listing fee is 1k around.
so there one can see huge difference between respective listing fee.
so i recommend u all to check listing fee instead.
and sts should put confirmation window too.

heeh, that doesn't really count as it happened within market price!

My biggest mistake was selling a crate for 3k instead of 30k at the time of first mythic weapons introduction :( I literally cried a little... And then I did it again shortly after :( Never merch when you're in a rush! My best loot on the market was buying a malison egg at 10k when it was supposed to be 100k :)

Just know this is you merch crates:

If there's something special with crates at the time, always wait to sell it in the last 20 minutes or under. The prices go insanely high.
For example, that weekend, they were 20-30k each. Last 10 minutes, they shot through the roof, being 40k. I sold 2 for 20k each, a mistake I now regret.

I bought a 3k crate once, could this be the crate you posted on CS? Merching in a rush is a sure way of making costly mistakes.

In PL I sold a Demonic plate when it was worth 200k. Now it's worth around 2 mil
