One of my characters is an officer in a guild where the leader is still level 30 and may never log in again. The guild is basically dead, but I like the guild name, so I stay in the guild.

Is there any way to take ownership of the guild if the leader never logs in?

Um no.

If the master is a friend of you I'd suggest to keep loyal to the guild; otherwise you can create a new character and move on.

doc...Why create a new character? Did you mean create a new guild?

csb....maybe you could make a new guild with a similar name?

OR with already existing toons/mules - only important is that you stay with (preferably) Officer toons in your former guild.

Of course it's not what everybody does, only a small suggestion regarding the OP.

IMHO, if the GM stops logging in for a really long time and the guild is dead...he shouldn't feel obligated to stay in there.
