Is it even worth it to cap a toon?
If so, how much platinum would it cost from 1-76?
What exlirs should I be using and what route should I take to lvl.

Ya it is for ring IMO. But can't answer your second part cuz I don't buy plat.

Worth is subjective, how much something is *worth* can only be decided by you.

To actually be helpful, unlike these people,
I'd say this.
To cap a toon with thraeher, week long dub xp, xp anywhere, and constant mega maze mashup runs, it took me two days. 4 - 8 hours a day, and with a lucky 3x on the second day.
I'd recommend buying the 2k plat package. It took me ROUGHLY 360 plat. :)

The question was so vague, I though Necro was helpful.
If you wanna see the many ways to do it type something "fastest xp" in search bar.
If your going from 1-76 then you won't get a ring, you will set yourself up to do the same thing again next cap in order to get the 2 piece ring.
Reasons to make a new cap toon might be if you want to endgame pvp on some new class/build, or you want to know how to play a different class to be a better player in general. Or simple bragging rights.
What brought this to mind to begin with?

PL bores me.
Haven't found anyone to lvl my bird to 61 and a friend recommened endgame.

I capped my toon... I spent 40 Plat in total and quite a bit of gold on 1.5 Xp elixirs plus I had a 3x daily. It was great!

Without elixers other than dailys it takes me forever...maybe 8k xp at most in a day.
Endgame pvp/ctf is op dodge and dominated by birds soz...

The issue at hand is you seem to get bored too easily. Leveling is actually quite simple if you go to the correct maps and make use of your 3x blessing when you get one. The bird I made for Micah's weekly CTF matches took me around 40 min, most of it was solo. Just like PVP, leveling takes focus, time, determination, and PATIENCE. You also have to pick a game and stick with it. You are constantly bouncing from one STS game to the next. This will take you longer to level no matter which game you choose.
In the end, Necro had the best advice.
