Plats are way too costly...
As being a game for fun... the cost of platinum shouldn't be that high...
$89 for 1700 plats... current..
its way too much...
The game then only remains for the Rich people..
and this reduces fun for those who can't buy plats...
I wasted 10000 plats on lock crates and got nothing useful... after spending that much its seems stupidity to me to further play this game... (I also understand that 1 player quitting won't make any difference to the game developers who maybe saying that and laughing on the other end while reading this, though i respect the good and hard work done to make this game)..
Request STS to pl reduce the prices... so that game is fun for normal guys and not remains for rich people..

I would like that platinum were less expensive too, however, i think for you the problem its not the cost of platinum but the "crate game", whatever the platinum price is this can be a very costly "game" as it relies on luck alone, with that much platinum u could bought the mytics from the CS.

Its like gambling at the casino... The odds are clearly against you.

I'm not a heavy platinum buyer, spent like 20 €, if that much, on the game and i enjoy the game and each day have more fun.

Just my 2 cents

If you're able to afford 10,000 plats, then you must be one of the rich guys too!! :-)

Wait for a platinum sale.

Also, I find it hard to believe you opened 660 crates and got nothing of value.

I opened 50ish, and not including mythic weapons or gold, I still made ~2m off the stuff I got.

Ok I already see the problem in the first 5 seconds of video. Don't need to watch any more.

I Do agree on the fact that platinum is expensive. But i dont exactly like to spend my real life savings on a game so.....Sometimes I get frustrated because they are. I'd like to get more plat instead of just doing free offers and such. But that's how I lived in AL, patience of getting about 5-15+ plat a day from free offers. Yeah ik it takes a long time to really get to like 1700 but I got there ^^;

Over 2500 plat from free offers (total)

Sorry but I consider 10k plat a lot. Its still fun without opening crates, just play without plat, maybe you should have thought before opening 666 crates?

The only thing I have an issue with is the inconsistent prices between the Legends titles. It seems that with each new game released, the platinum to dollar spent ratio decreases.

Look at AL & SL; 2000 plat for the same price of what 1700 plat is. Not only that, every feature in PL that is in AL is hiked up in prices. IMO, that's unnecessary.

However, it is their business so if they choose to hike prices up, that is fine, but I certainly won't be purchasing the same amount of inventory slots, character slots, etc.

I call that a gambling addiction. For how much money you spent on plats, you could a went to a casino and had chance at actual money. I mean how you spend your money is up to so. I use to be a plat buyer in pl and even spent $50 here in al till I realised.......can't say anymore then that

These app mmorpgs seem to have the same ethos...grab as much real money as they can from the players, whilst encouraging the players to accept this as part of the game.I have seen many games which declare they are "free to play" yet it doesn't take long to realise that it is not possible to advance/create new chars/buy elixirs et etc without spending your hard-earned cash on it.
Compare the limited scope of an "app mmorpg" to a massive game such as "WoW" -these "app RPGs " cannot offer the same depth of gameplay and so the intention of devs seems to be to rob as much cash from their player base before they realise the limits of the game and move on.
I believe the same sort of thing happens in real life but at least the perpetrators have the 'decency'
to wear masks.

This game is perfectly free to play and enjoy.

It is NOT, however, free to keep up with the Joneses. And it never professed to be that.

When you take in account and 89.99=1700 plat=1.7 million....arcanes run 5o mill, mythics 8-10, etc, the dollar ammount isn't equal to the economy....it should be almost doubled, 3.4 million for 1700 platinum....who wants to spend 1500 in real life money on one weapon....I mean really?? And its sad one person that hacks gold, has 99million on multiple characters and stash controls the game and economy and stg can't figure that out and see where the plat and gold come from...

The logic in your argument is flawed. The plat to gold conversion no longer fits and should not be used as a gauge for real life worth of items. Just like ANY game where you can purchase currency and there is a market economy. Eventually, the free market will outgrow the exchange rate. It only works for lower levels. Not end game levels where gear is astronomically priced.

There is no hacking gold. Some people are just very good at merching.

If anyone spends that much real life money on a weapon... sorry... they are dumb. Or don't have a need for money.

Darko, I don't really want to see folks buying arcane (or even mythic) gear with plat. Those items should be for those who earn them by playing the game, or happen to be so lucky as to loot one. But opening 600 locked crates is just crazy. That's like dumping $10k into slots machines at the casino and being annoyed that you didn't win the jackpot.

Yes, if you don't spend any money you cannot be among the top players in this game. Someone mentioned WoW -- if you don't spend any money in WoW, then you cannot even play the game at all as there is a monthly fee. Yes, companies like STS are not a charity and their employees don't work for free. The game must make money. But nobody needs to be spending many hundreds or thousands of dollars.

I have spent a total of $200 in 8 months of playing AL. I purchased the 1700 plat package 3 times. Twice it was on sale for $55, and once it was at regular price of $90. Of that 5100 total plat I purchased, I opened a total of about 80 crates, and I too got no mythic or arcane items. But I didn't sit there an open 80 at one sitting. I think I opened 30 during the first mythic weekend, and then the other 50 spread out over time. The rest of my plat has been spent on purchasing the plat exclusive pets (if a pet can be purchased from the auction for gold, I never spend any plat on it), and on elixirs and revives. I also did some runs in the Nordr turnstyle boss only dungeon before it was removed. I have never spent any plat on purchasing gold, and I never would. Why spend your hard earned money on things that you can earn by just playing the game for free? I just don't get it.

Just. Don't. Spend. Money. On. Crates. Period.

Think of it as they never give any mythic or arcane. Trust me in the long run you would've saved millions
