We get notifications for everything else (invited to party, invited to zone, kicked from party)
Just a simple request, stuck out to me today that we don't get any on-screen message

Yeah always funny when you say "/p hey invite _____ to the party!" The a minute or two later you are all "/p hey you invite him yet?" And then finally after a little more delay the former party leader says "/p dude I made you party leader a while ago!" Total fail....
I second your suggestion! Perhaps also a little icon next to the health and mana bars indicating the partyleader?
