Lvl 50 int mage

I'm a new pvper in lvl 50 and I need help with a build. Any tips or suggestions?

L50 Dex mage Owns all They Op.

I have a full int Mage and can beat Dex mages.

Get a ring with 2/3ms and like 5 damage is best.

I have 1 on the ice storm thingy (the area ice attack) but you can take it off and put one extra skill into a debuff..
I use the defense debuff because its best to ice them and get close... It's only 6m so you have to be close but once it hits you pretty much win!!!! :D

Or you can take all of the defense buff and put all into the attack debuff.

Ice, fire and heals are your best friends because many of L50 use shotguns which have far range. So fire then ice them to give yourself room and heal!!!!

Never done a lv 50 mage but that is the exact build I was going to recommend LOL. Do that build and you will be all good :). I suggest getting shadow gear if you can afford it :)

I would recommend this ability build to every 50 mage. However, I prefer Death Mage. ;)

Stats:
115 Dex
139 Int
1 Str

Items:
Sentinel's Helmet of Death
Sentinel's Armor of Death
Sentinel's Talon of Death
Sentinel's Shotgun of Death
Sentinel's Wing of Death
Fine Golden Band of Life

While, yes, Shadow set is best against 50 mages (and ONLY 50 mages. 51 int items wreck it..) I would recommend Death because of its versatility. Death talon set works about as well as a wand set imo, and Shotgun (if you can kite) can kill any thing up to glyph (Though I can beat dex glyph if I kite perfectly..). Yes, "Death is OP" seems to be the current belief, but it really isn't. It's extremely squishy, so you must learn to kite well to win.

If you want to do 50ish pure int mage, go 51 and buy Mega Mage. You'll save yourself about a mill, and be way stronger. :rolleyes:

51 mega mage is amazing. It beats 51 bears extremely easily.

Use 67 dex, rest int.
My build is:

6 BoV
6 BoM
6 Fire
6 Drain
6 Lightning
6 Heal
3 Frost
5 nightmare
4 weakness
1 Rev
1 Mana Shield

Ok so to prove that pesky 51 bears are not OP compared to 51 int mage is that you gotta get those debuffs in and stay out of CB range. Always heal their scream so you can keep kiting. Nightmare tears down their dodge and weakness poops on their hit so you take less damage with very high nana regen for your shield and nuke hard once nightmare hits. Birds are relatively easy you just gotta kite or nuke them. Other mages is more skill based than fighting other classes.
