A new rare boss, The Mad Scientist, has been seen turning people into the undead! Catching him in the act may be hard, but the rewards are great! Hunt for him on end game maps.
More vanity loot has been added to the game. Red, Blue, and Black variations of the druidic solstice robe can now be found as rare drops throughout Carvina.
A new Relic Moon Gem has been added, but can only be found on The Mad Scientist!

The percentage of the drops should be a little higher. It's too hard trying to farm for them. I've been trying to farm for quite a while and I still haven't gotten anything. You guys really need to improve the drop rates.

I'm assuming that the mad scientist will only be around for a little bit maybe 2 weeks or so but are the other drops going to be permanently dropping or is this equivalent to the last solstice event

Undead doesn't drop any more....so I hope you haven't been farming for it.

Finally...an update!!!!! I've been farming for the druidic robes, leggings and hoods with limited results. Although I found the new relic gem after fighting the Mad Scientist twice, I have tried repeatedly to get another. I have come across the boss three other times with no second drop of the Moontear Gemstone. What is the drop rate of this rare relic?

Additionally, does anyone know where specific Druidic items drop in the missions? And what is their drop rate? Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

"end game maps" means Fresnel Cemetery and Worlmen Sepulcher.

"mission 4 in the first campaign" means Kain's Crest (first campaign) - Ghouls and Goblins (4th) mission. The red druid top (which is one of the new vanities that started dropping with this update) drops there. That is why it was mentioned in this thread.

Look it up. It's official. Druidic items are permanent additions to the game...they will not be discontinued, so they are not going to "go rare."
