Please increase that range as it rarely helps as pet is not fast enough or attacking enemies that are far away.. you can see it when you run through mount spyr (don't stop), I'm getting slowed down by some mobs there but misty is nowhere around.. when she finally is in range the slowdown is gone already..
It must be even worse for rogues and warriors as they can run even faster than my mage..

Both the range and incredibly long cool down of the arcane ability make this pet practically useless. I have been leveling mine up just because I am farming pve kills, but I have never seen anyone actually using one in game because they thought it was a good pet. This pet was a great idea, but the implementation fell short, and for now I think this pet is a big waste of plat. Please do something about the arcane ability. Since stun immunity lasts about 7sec, perhaps make the cool down more like 15sec so you can use the arcane to remove stun at least half of the time you could possibly get stunned (of course assuming that you are in range of his arcane, which as the op stated is also a big problem).

Misty is a pretty awful pet. I've prayed and hoped they would fix it, but of all my legendary pets it's easily at or near the bottom. It's even near the bottom of epic pets in my opinion. I occasionally use it in pvp but it is very seldom. I leveled it pretty quickly to level 30 expecting it to be my answer to being stun locked but it really falls short.

From what I can tell while Misty will remove a stun on you it does so with a few drawbacks. The major drawback is this : from just casually testing it in pvp it appears that when you do use it to remove a stun you, you don't get to continue with your 7 second stun immunity, it resets it like you never were stunned to begin with. THIS IS A HUGE DRAWBACK. I can't tell you how often I will run against a mage and they fireball stun me, I cure the stun, and then they slag stun me. At the very least for it to be a viable pet it should be equal to or slightly longer then the cooldown for a stun skill not the 40 seconds or whatever it is currently. At that time you can use the skill once every 2 battles.

I made a comparison to the feed time to put it in perspective a month ago :

"When a pet only lasts for 15 minutes until it's hungry, a 40 second CD gives you only 22 taps of the arcane ability in 15 minutes. Compare that to ribbit at 12 seconds or wrathjaw at 7 seconds and ribbit you can tap 75 times, and wrath 128 times per feed."

Let's also not forget another drawback to the stun, the complete lack of mana on the pet. As a rogue if I run Misty I need to be in a group with at least 1 mage or someone running jack or nexus. Your mana pool is so low that you need to time everything perfectly in a mage 1 vs 1 or you will be out of mana and not be able to finish them off. It does work, but you need to make sure you wait the 2 seconds from the shield immunity. I can't verify my mana pool with Misty right now, but going from memory I recall only having about 890mana with my normal gear and I typically run around 1200 which is a huge difference for a rogue.

I have to test it further but it seems like it also doesn't cure curse. So what is the biggest benefit to having Misty I've found? Fighting the frost spider in crystal caverns - but prepare to spam pots, I still will just swap out pets when I get iced anyway.

There are a lot of valid points in this, and we will take a look.

Increasing the range is a likely possibility, as is some sort of mana benefit perhaps. In regards to the curse YES it does remove curse! We have tested that many times in house. It can be hard to see with all the chaos in a pvp match but we have run controlled tests where we aren't trying to kill each other to make sure it was removed.

As for the removing of the immunity we will have to check up on that. There is nothing in the way it is set up that would convince me that is the case, but it should leave the immunity on the player after removing debuffs.

Thanks for this meticulous investigation and posting it here, Jex. I, too, would most certainly buy Misty if she provided +mana. Until then, no reason to do so with all these problems.

misty would be better iif it doesnt remove stun, slow, curse but instead it gives immunity to any of those.

That's not a bug. Mages can stun you with fireball and when you recover you can be stunned again with slag or clyde. That's because these pets don't actually cause stun but panic or terror

Oh I was just told about this thread! Sorry i made a similar post in the general section...

Yes, please, misty's AOE is way too small, mages and rogues are further away from the main fight so misty is never in range in pvp.. If I were to guess i'd say the current AOE is about 3m?

And yes, the cooldown is way too long...
