Mega Blaster needs a tweak.

**NOTE: this is coming from the perpective of an archer concerning pvp.**

The new Alien weapons of the Void, Cosmos, and Rift are amazing. They look unique and are powerful. However, one particular weapon is a little too powerful.

The Mega Blaster of the Void. Hits hard, and has a good speed. Almost as good damage-wise as a Void Bow, and faster. The issue?

It's range is far too long.

Being a pure Avian Archer, I haven't failed to notice the increased advantage Archers have in PVP after AO3 was released. But when a weapon allows you to hit and kill even buffed opponents from twice their range, there's a problem. It's extremely overpowered, and should have a lower range, or less damage to compensate for it's huge range. Bladders have always been good for PVE, but when it's the best PVP weapon for any class, you know there's something wrong in the balancing area.

I'm not saying it should be made obsolete for PVp purposes, but it needs toning down. I know many people agree with me, particularly non-DEX mages and bears. ;)

IMO its not the blaster per se, but dex. I find it weird how when a bear equips a blaster or any ranged weapon, he can be at par with a bird (when archers are supposed to be superior in ranged combat). So give a bear a blaster and its pretty hard to take down before you dying yourself.

Let's not get into DEX being OP.

What I'm saying is, the weapon itself is OP. Any class/hybrid with it is extremely deadly, because they kill from a distance. The only thing is, the weapon and range does well for PVE, as it was made for. It should have reduced range in PVP, but I don't know if changing just that is possible.

Are you saying the Megablaster has longer range than other bows/crossbows/blasters, or just that even that is too long? Maybe they could give it talon range and AOE damage :D
